Might stacking power necro
Life Blast cast time is 1.5 second, affercast is not listed. Poor choice for Sigil of Might I’d say, it’s better with more frequent hitting skills.
Take new Strenght Runes if you have enough money.

Affercast? Skill description days 1 sec, and when I compare might of first lb hit (15 sec) and of second lb hit, it disappears exactly after 1 second….
And I have 4 frequent hitting skills; life siphon, life transfer, tainted shackles and well of suffering. Life transfer gets you 3 stacks, tainted shackles also, life siphon 2 or 3 and we’ll of suffering can get you around 5 stacks.

Aftercast on LB is indeed 0.5s.
You can prove this very easily, just get the might for 15s on LB, point at a boss and fire it for 15s. You’ll have 10 stacks after 15 seconds, and it’ll never go higher unless the might duration is boosted or you have procs from additional sources.
I tried the might stacking necro build a fair amount over the last couple weeks. In both sPvP and WvW and in both cases it just is not worth the trade offs. While it seems like with really long duration Blood is Power would be awesome, I always found it to be very underwhelming and since its not permanent might you have to reapply right as a fight starts which cuts into DPS time. Personally I think taking Signet of Spite is a much easier way to get extra power.
I always feel like focusing too much on one aspect for a build will always be your downfall. Boon removal will be a big annoyance to you.

I do things differently. I prefer to use Staff so I can better leverage the condi element of Might stacks. Also marks are very flexible. You can use them like a minefield, or combo with spectral grasp for a nasty burst. You can take soul marks and actually get LF while in DS as the enemy sets off your precasted marks. In WvW you also get more free condi from Guard Stack. Run some celestial and theres even more, plus ferocity which is more valuable then power after a certain point. (you will have so much power from Guard/Might/Bloodlust stack that going Celestial for the ferocity and condi is a dps gain instead of a loss)
I run dagger/dagger as my 2nd set, further reinforcing the hybrid dmg approach.
I also don’t run Sigil of Strength. I run travelers. So I give up perma might, but I gain 15% duration to all my other boons and a utility slot. That free utility slot gets Well of Power, which will synergize with my 45% boon duration nicely. Also fits with my celestial approach to damage.
So I got 3 condi clears and Well of Power. High armor, high power, modest vit, ferocity, condi and even a bit of healing power for my Sanctuary, near perma regen and ofc my primary heal.
So yeah, this build has been working very nicely for me.
I’ve had some success running a budget version of a Might/Vuln stacking Necro in all sPvP/PvE/WvW using Hoelbrack Runes and Knights/Cav gear (Knights in sPvP).
Staff and Axe/Warhorn.
With the right traits, sigils, and skills you can self stack up to 25 might fairly easily and the -20% condition duration is nice while you are in DS since you have no clears while in it. Has some trouble with CC heavy enemies like decap engineers and hammer warriors, but that’s pretty much a thing for most necro builds.
And it’s a heck of a lot cheaper to put together than most builds since you can buy most the gear with badges and karma.
Might stacking via Reaper’s Mights is old news. If you want to do it quickly and maintain the stacks, I’d recommend sigils/rune of strength + high crit chance. It’s a little one dimensional, but everyone likes to see those high damage numbers. I actually had 2 runes of strength equipped from before the 4/15 patch so I grabbed 4 more for kittens and giggles. Haven’t messed around with it too much in PVP, but can only assume that the extra %7 from the rune of strength is decent enough.
