Guild Wars 2

Hi everyone.

I have a very basic question. How important is it to optimize build? I am more of a casual player, who want to play some PvP and dungeons sometimes, but I am not interested in being the best PvPer or steamrole any dungeon in my way. So question is, do I need to follow those “pro” builds and guides to be viable in PvP and dungeons, or can I just chill and enjoy this game with whatever build I find to be fun to play for myself and still be some what viable in PvP and dungeons, not just a waste of a team spot?

Oh and if I do need to follow those builds and guides, where can I find not outdated builds and guides for necromancer?

Look for people who think like u and have fun. But don´t join groups with min/maxed builds, because they would only carry u. (depending on your current build, probably it is not so bad)

I like to learn a little about the standard of min/max in the games I play. It by no means forces me into anything and I just play with little stress as this is a way for me to be entertained no aggravated.

Play for yourself it is the very reason you are here is it not?

It depends on how much you want to not care. If you are going to just use a god-awful build, then you want to avoid any group-based content where the other players aren’t obviously just there to have fun (or its people you know and they don’t mind carrying you). However if you’re talking about running a perfectly viable build, but maybe not worrying about rushing to get the best ascended armor possible right away, then it doesn’t really matter that much.
