So, I think I have finally settled on Necromancer to play next. I am looking into playing a Minion Necromancer, which I understand is still very frustrating due to bad AI, but also because they die too quickly to AOEs in dungeons.
As such, I had intended to play marks/well for dungeons and run support. However, I keep seeing complaints about that, as well. I don’t really understand them, considering you are able to apply continual AOE support.
Is this idea not viable? Why would that be?

The problem is, wells and minions compete for skill slots. Enough well abilities to boost utility and survivability of minions, and you’re no longer a minionmancer. Kind of a catch-22.

My mid level necro uses all minions in utility slots and well of blood for the heal, and that does help quite a bit. I hate blood-fiend, have him up ahead of time and he gets himself killed all the time; only summon him when needed and he’s not really adding to your army. Never taken her into a dungeon, I imagine (and hear) there’d be a lot of resummoning involved.

Yea, I didn’t actually mean I was running them at the same time. I intend to respec for dungeons, etc. Wells seem like they would be good for events as well so I could tag things.

I play conditionmancer with flesh golem and shadow feind, my other two skills are the Asura racial poison field thingy and I think signet of pain.
Weapons are staff which has good AOE attacks and scepter and dagger which had intense combo with the staff as you can lay up the conditions then use #2 on the scepter to do extra damage per condition and abasolutely flogg enemies.
So far this build has been good, I mainly do PvE as my Internet connection is too bad to do PvP, but so far it has been effective
