Q:

Well, i’m wondering about which tratis to use for a minionmaster. I use 2 options:

20/0/30/20/0 or 20/0/20/30/0. The difference is the trait which do a poison cloud when minion die vs minion draw conditions. What do you think is better to use generally? I can switch deppens of the instance i going to do, but in FOTM for example, you can’t know which one is going to be more usefull.

I’m not using condition dmg, so poison cloud don’t do much, but on this way a dead minion can still doing some dmg. By other hand i usually use the blood fiend as heal and staff/axe+focus, so i only have #4 staff to clean conditions. I can switch this heal for consume corruption, but on this way i’m loosing a minion, his dmg (not much but still smth) and his continue heal. That’s why i wonder if is better option to use 20/0/20/30/0 because poison cloud is not doing dmg enough to loose an auto-condition removal.

A second question. Do you think is ok using a zerker gear? With a minion build your minions do a lot of agro and they are healing you all time, so it’s easy to stay alive, but i’m not sure if the output damage is enough for this risk. Or is better to still using P/V/T gear?

Thanks and sorry for my bad english.

I run Minions with Zerker gear all the time. Knight’s gear is amazing for bunkering dungeons and in tPvP, but berzerker gear is just fine. Just make sure you ar running Axe/Focus to max out your minions.

AS for FoTM, the problem is minions get wrecked in FOTM from rank 10 on thanks to agony, so don’t bring them in, you will only be at a disadvantage.

20/0/30/20/0 is a great build for PVE Dungeons. 30/0/20/20/0 or 30/0/20/0/20 are the highest damage potential you can get out of them. But not having minions siphon health is pretty crazy since it’s probably the easiest way to live through just about anything.

The Condition removal is a pvp tool, and not really useful in pve though if you find yourself in a group without a condition removal player or are tanking with yoru minions than Condi removal is amazing.

I prefer the poison because it’s pretty awesome when they die to keep ticking damage on the boss.

Bas’ Number 1 Minion Tip: Always bring the Flesh Wurm. Replace Bone Minions, Shadow Fiend or Bone Fiend (it doesn’t matter which), but in the dungeon there is no reason not to have the Flesh Wurm. He hits like a truck, rarely dies, and stun break is always awesome.!

Hey, necroing this thread! Could you maybe link those builds for a lost MM necro? I´m currently levling in my 40´s and loving MM so far, but i would love to know whats best to go for as far as a end game PvE MM build and how it would look like. Cheers!

I don`t think much has changed? I`d go for something like this
http://www.guildhead.com/skill-calc#mcV9wG0Gx0MscaVkq
Key traits are flesh of the master and training of the master, everything else is just flavor imo.

I`d be interested to hear what runes and sigils people run?

Those are more or less the builds we where talking about.

You can switch some major traits depends on the battle.

20/0/30/20/0 Is my preference. According to the SotG interview they plan on letting agony resistance transfer from the master to his minions, so you won’t need to worry too much.
