Moa form vs Necromancer
Welcome to GuildWars 2 and the comedy show called “Balancing”. Eeeeeeeeeeesssssspppporrrrtsss HAIP
It’s not all bad. Moa form brings necromancer some much appreciated mobility!

the dev that though more moa was a good idea really needs to find a new position/job…
It destroy all the class mechanics, not only ours.
I play the Mm and if a mesmer or a engi use the moa I’m barely dead why I lose all the minions. If i remeber right, the engi don’t lose it’s turrets while in moa.
But, anyway, it’s made to literally destroy all the enemy skills mechanics, and it work as intended.

No, it isn’t. Only minions are destroyed, every other summon in the game is untouched. It is just meant to be an extremely long CC that can’t be removed that is “balanced” by being a transform instead of just a hard CC.
This was addressed on another post. It was a really lame answer but the implication was that it has to do with the transform mechanics themselves.
We keep our minions when transformed!!!
I want to quickly clarify something about this note. The change is that specifically Plague form and Lich form will not destroy your minions. We can’t do this universally for all transforms because it can cause problems with the balance of events or story steps that transform you.
What about moa form?
Moa specifically will still destroy them. When we decided on these changes we felt that the behavior of Moa vs pets was one that needed more discussion. We didn’t feel comfortable changing this behavior for this patch as it affects more classes than just necromancer.
Lich and Plague form was more of a clear cut issue of “hey, let’s not punish minion masters for pressing their elite”.

Yeah there’s really no justification for, say, engineer turrets, not getting destroyed by moa while necromancer minions do get destroyed.
And.
Some necromancer minions aren’t destroyed by moa (Rise minions, lich rune minions, Lich summoned minions, , jagged horrors). So the way moa works is inconsistently applied.
This ought to be rethought.
Since minions root themselves to attack, they rarely hit moving players & are mostly useful for their active skill and for the minion traits.
