Guild Wars 2

With full zerk gear/trinkets, power runes, bloodlust stacks and guard stacks, I sit at 3k power, 210% crit damage and 100% crit chance in DS. However, my Lifeblast only hits for 1.6k – 2k on 99% of my enemies. These are ALL Crits. However, other necros around me with less power, less crit damage, and not wearing zerk gear/trinkets are doing 5k – 10k every hit with lifeblast. I use Close to Death for the 20% increased dmg when enemy under 50% life as well…

I would like to point out this only started after the patch, post patch I saw Lifeblasts upwards of 10-12k… What’s up Anet?

Downscaling perhaps?

Lifeblast take the properties of your mainhand weapon. I hope you are using staff and not sonething else. Otherwise maybe you got kitten luck with heavy targets, lol.

@Wexxes, not downscaling—WvW player only.
@Dawdler—I usually run staff, but I have been trying dagger and axe as well, I will test again and make sure staff is the main one equipped… But even with axe i have 3k+ power, so the DPS should not be 1.6k – 2k with crits and they are all crits. Axe 2 I can do 8-10k easily…

The other Necros you speak of most definitely have might.
