My spectral walk doesn't like water anymore.

Great question!
Try equipping Spectral Walk in an underwater utility slot. If you have it equipped above water, but not below it, you’re ‘unslotting’ spectral walk when you move underwater and don’t have it equipped.
Alternatively (if you don’t have it equipped underwater), make sure that you don’t have the spectral walk skill in its ‘Active’ state (spectral walk ‘on’) prior to entering water.
Removing boons from a skill when you travel underwater does not affect ANY OTHER skill or profession in the game, why should it do it to necromancer spectral walk?
Because if memory serves me right and seldom does, they tried fixing it three times, this skill is there baby for now and will do everything they can to get it to work 100% the way it should before anything else.

I never noticed that Spectral Walk didn’t grant swiftness in the water without it having to also be equipped in the underwater slot! =o I very rarely use it, but never noticed that! We always have the warhorn to boost us for a moment, don’t we? (Though, I do agree that it should still be like other classes swiftness granting skills)

Truly though, thanks for the post Karl. Some feedback on other issues would go a LOOOONG way to quelling the rising tide of resentment that has come about mainly due to the isolation and abandonment felt by many necros who have posted bugs on the forums.

Do you think Death Shroud is powerful?
I don’t like these kind of sarcasm and comments. What do you expect to gain from this behaviour guys? Nothing. Of course the developer will not answer these stupid provocations.
I have a real question for the developer though: as far as I’ve understood this change was intended to prevent this little exploit to have haste without having the skill active but if you feel this is abusing of a skill then how do you consider thieves spamming stealth? That is not abusing of a behaviour/skill/mechaning?
I feel it’s the same: it is obtaining advantages, you may read “exploit”, of a game mechanic but the whole thief is about this: exploiting/abusing skills. And while I’m perfectly fine with that (thieves are an abusing class basically, fine: I’ll work for counter them since they are designed this way), I don’t understand the urge to fix/change our little benefit for a skill. I don’t understand this change since it’s similar to equip a warhorn, use Locust Swarm, and the equip the previous weapon: you can do this only outside of combat. It’s the same behaviour of use Spectral Walk and, while outside of combat, changing skill.
I’m fine with nerfs (because this is a intended nerf), I’m ok you changed this little exploit, what I’m not fine is why changing this instead of the evident other problems of this class. I hope it is just a matter of priorities: please tell me you changed this only just it was easier then fix minion AI an not because you consider this more important then other problems.

Necro already has the worst mobility in the game, there is no reason for a nerf like this.

Like someone said, sprectal walk is the new deathshroud for them. Its their baby. So sad compared to all the other bugs. Thanks for the post karl but really, spectral walk wasn’t even on the bug list. Why are you guys balancing before fixing the game…
