Necro: Bunker/Healer/support - Build and vid!
Three things:
Take Dagger OH instead of focus. You won’t stand the condition pressure with Putrid and WoP only, without CC. Deathly Swarm will also blind and you get the weakness. You already have Corruption well.
Second, remove 10 or 20 from DM.
In first case, put them to SR and pick up either Stability (very important if you want to bunker and have NtD) or Renewing Blast (if you have enough skill to use that in pvp ;p)
In second case, put 10 points into SR and 10 into Curses for Focused Rituals. That’s almost mandatory if you plan on running anything else than WoB and WoP.
And change Mark of Evasion to Transfusion. You’re not running Soul Marks and already have perma regen from staff #2.
Transfusion on the other hand will heal your allies AoE for more than 6k and if you get knocked out of DS during the cast, it will also affect you

its a old bïld from soacgaming, by tenderly, they called it a good t2 build, i got a bit under 100# soloq at the time (250 was my normal position).
staff + d/d clerics + any defensive rune
blood well heal, well of blind , well of power , spectral armor , plague
0/0/10/30/30
protection from wells
transfusion or dagger CDs, 1k heal on exit DS , well CDs
-50% DS drain , 30% DS recharge , DS stability
I find it still the best necro support bunker (as not minions), in teamfights youll take some time to get downed but youll kepp the hp of teammates at full so they should rezz you. in the long run you can cap the point while fighting or outsustain them.
The only problem is if they make a good 3-point and spread you out and mesmers as they take away the stability. I never lasted more than 20s against misha
in my opinion, it is not good practice to rely on wells for damage/mitigation as I find them (after alot of time using them) lack luster in comparison to other skills.
when you blow your wells, you’re then kittened if you cant survive until they come off cooldown again.
my necro bunkers rely heavily on spectral skills and where possible the soul reaping line.
I have 2 builds I enjoy using to just be a nuisance, both make use of spectral skills and never any wells.
I always use spectral armor (traited duration), generally with earth or grove runes, this alone gives about 12s of protection which is close to what you get from all your wells, from 1 utility. I generally pop spectral armor before hopping into DS. makes you indestructible for about 8s. then your DS will start to degenerate.
anyways, imo wells are bad.
Leeto showed me in one of his videos and maybe a post on here, if you are relying on your opponents being bad to make the most of your utilities then you are gimping yourself. as you can be knocked out of a well or opponents can run out of them I find them to be less than optimal.

Once again its a build offering a different play style and method.
Personally for me support is team not self.
The wells offer protection to all not just me. Also Ill show the video soon likely tonight, you’ll see the survivability that this build brings.
I love the two suggestions above in the alternatives to the build Ill definitely give them a shot! Guys thanks for the contributions, once again this isn’t a build to say ‘its the best’ its just a build to spark conversation which is whats happening so thank you again.
Dont forget that this is a new build due to the use of the new trait for death shroud.
Using this kind setup with retal traits, fleshworm and siphon healing for allies.
Great for tanking and trolling on the new map. while keeping retal up.

BUT to liven myself up and you, I made a gameplay video for this build with some explanation
I take my hat off to you jebro. this build performs better than I expected/remember. good to see someone actually enjoying themselves in pvp without spamming conditions.
General thoughts from me:
-Healing Necro isn’t really a PvP thing. It’s way better on WvW or in PvE encounters
-“Bunker” ability of Necro is a simple facetank. It means that you’re very vunerable to focused direct damage and 2 players like Thief and Mesmer will down you without a lube.
-You’re popping all wells under your feet at once. Don’t
-You lack Condition removal, as I pointed
-Don’t take wells just for Ritual of Protection. It’s an adept trait, Protection isn’t really that awesome since it’s a single boon. Wells are very good utilities but they’re short and have long cooldowns. Use them in more adequate situations, suited for utility. Protection, if you like it, is just a bonus.

Lots of aoe team healing and a good amount of life stealing with wells. stability on demand when going into ds/Plauge

Have you tried running axe with it??
I love dagger, but i rull a well build.and i do find axe to be a bit more usefully.
Mine is a lot less support and more self tank with well heals.
