Hello Forums. I have a lvl 25 engineer, and I’m thinking of making a necro, because engineer is kinda maybe getting a bit boring. I’ve heard alot of different things, and I came her to get some clarity.

Is necromancer “bad”? I’ve heard stuff about minion AI being bad, like the minions just sit there while you fight mobs and you golem dies when you enter water??

Also I’ve hear that necros are really bad at all end game PvE content.

I heard good things about PvP, but then again all threads I’ve seen are from a year ago. Basically will I be able to be successful with a lvl 80 necro? Like will I be able to do end game content? And is it fun?

Oh and what are the best builds? Like condi, power, minion master, dagger/well, fear builds?

In PvE Necromancers are the worst profession and the only one that has no use in a group. That said you can do just fine in random pug groups if you don’t mind being “bad”.

I mostly play power builds on my necromancer in PvE and I have no problem performing at the same level as my teammates. It takes more skill and time to develop that skill but it’s definitely a fun a versatile class.
