Workin with a full set of ascended gear in a 30/30/0/0/10 build.

Decided to finally put together all the proc traits and runes and sigils into a build. I wouldn’t call it viable, but it was an interesting experiment.

Comments or suggestions on anything else I should look into condition related…. pickings are getting real slim with the lack of balance changes in the near outlook.

I think this video finally hit a nerve for people…. seeing all those easy to apply conditions really brings out the rage. I wondered when I would cross a line.

That condi burst is hilarious. Quite a shame it’s a one trick pony, but hilarious regardless. Also the silent video makes me sadface :/

If you get bored I’m tinkering with a power/chill build currently and I could always use another set of eyes; especially experienced ones. Just send me a message if it peaks your interest

Main-hand dagger was used for immobilize, if I understand correctly. :P

P.S. Golem Charge counts as an interrupt, and can proc Perplexity runes. Food for thought if you go for ALL CONDITIONS EVER again.

I have never seen the charge work for perplex (at least it didn’t some time ago). The only way to get it to proc was to use warhorn (reliably).

So I think i have the sound worked out now…. I just apparently hit a really important song it seems out of my random selection.

I re-watched the video Renn. It seems as though the sound is indeed working. Youtube has a bad habit of nomming a lot of stuff for no reason. I had tremendous trouble with it when I posted beta videos and haven’t made any sense then, but I thought of giving it another shot eventually.

Got to work with CPC on this one some, and made a note of it in the video. Stronger than I previously thought because of how useful it is to cover downed targets with reliable poison. Also, unlike the wall, you can’t avoid it if you want to melee me, and then you get stuck with the weakness. A self 10 second weakness is really strong to transfer as well, while having nearly no effect on me.

I would be more than happy to tell you.

There is a distinct perception that necro isn’t a good roaming class because it has bad mobility. In fact I hear that all the time still to this day. I make videos to show that not only is it not bad at roaming, in the right team comp it is down right uncounterable. You would be shocked at how few people in WvW even nod their head at condition builds.

I try to make videos to highlight specific skills and trait setups that work or don’t work, but often end up on too many normal builds, since the viability of the alternate builds is not very high for roaming small man. Also my guardian friend goes into a blind rage when I run power and we can no longer handle anything higher than slightly outmatched.

Also I just like making videos, not sure why, but I find it fun.

The purpose isn’t to highlight my individual ability, but rather a build and team composition that works well even when mistakes are made, and in my case lots of mistakes normally with timing on, and mistakes around my transfer skills.

I am sure I will continue to make videos, assuming I keep playing, after our big nerf patch, to point out how things are not as bad as everyone claims.

If I had a desire to prove how awesome I was, I wouldn’t bother making videos, because it is impossible to get any reasonably consistant group of people to fight in WvW with an even skill level. Many, if not all the people I fight are either in zerg builds, don’t know their class that well, or just don’t understand what a condi necro can do. Not all, but there are many in this case.

We don’t always win fights because we are better; we win fights because we are better prepared, and have stacked the deck in our favor with builds, boons, and stats. I make videos to show other people that anyone can do this if they take the time to learn the class and can suffer through the zerg stomping that comes with no reliable blink and stealth.

Thanks for posting hte Vids Rennoko. And don’t listen to the cranky jerks in here, you didn’t force them to watch the videos, or even comment in this thread for that matter. The fact that they invested the time out of their day to come in here, watch the video, and then crap on you for whatever mistakes you made is just rude and lame. Keep it up!

Honestly speaking, there’s nothing really at all impressive here. Most roaming Necromancers always have the Dhummfire Terror spec, that can instagib most classes in seconds.

Which is why the videos are all taking on as many people as we can, to try and make it interesting. No doubt 2v2 videos against this build would be pretty boring to watch, and maybe these are boring as well… but the point wasn’t to impress anyone as it is just intended to entertain.

Don’t like the videos then don’t watch…. not sure how else I can put it.

My ego doesn’t get boosted by posting these videos, but I have made quite a few good friends cross server as a result of my activities and been able to help some folks get into necro roaming, and that is enough for me.

And Jinx, I suppose I did ask for comments, so really the abrasive dissent is fine, and thanks for keeping the thread bumped.

If you watch many of the videos there are 1-2 other condition necros on the other team while still outnumbered. Shouldn’t that level the playing field?

And the whole thing about posting videos in the first place…. lol you have a condition engineer video on your youtube. What were you trying to do there? Show off? I know why you stopped making them though, you have some serious l2p issues.

Good to see some Necros still willing to try things out and theory craft a bit, not many Necros left doing this sort of thing. Not your best vid Rennoko but still enjoyable and appreciate your efforts to attempt something new.

I am personally looking forward to Jinx’s video whenever he post one, based on his “constructive” feedback it very well could be the greatest Necro WvW video of all time!
No spam, No stats, perfect positioning, rotation’s, and utility usage you know ALL those things he says Rennoko is doing wrong, it will be a feast for the eyes!

Whats wrong with my Engi vid? Im playing HGH when its not on top of the food chain, with exotics when ascended kitten is viable now….and Im laughing my kitten off in 2/3 vs 1… I didnt play the engi wrong to have l2p issues. I had >ONE< run in EB JP for couple hours while I was getting breakfast…

Those necros have transfers and consume conditions too, you know. I didn’t watch the whole movie but the first fight is against a guild group and they have players get downed on their side. Tough fight, well worth posting.

Not to mention they have thief on their side who is both Heartseek-ing to death the mesmers and stomps one of them… Meanwhile Rennoko misplaces 90% of his marks, using ramdomly the condi transfer skills…

There is this cool thing that happens with mesmers are spamming you with skills, conditions get all over you, and when you cast your transfer skills and the bounce around, they transfer as they go, and as they get applied. If I sit with the conditions on me, the guard starts to panic and pull them off me, we talk about this quite a bit in trying to find a happy medium for when he should react to my debuffs and when not. I don’t talk much on mumble, so he kind of has to wing it. He plays better than me by quite a bit, but he tolerates me well enough.

Also there is that blind which often catches someone else spamming skills on me.. but again I don’t claim to use my transfer skills that well, especially staff 4, as I tend to just roll through my marks while I wait for cooldown, no argument there.

The wall was actually a plan to create some distance behind me and to stop the GS guy rushing at me… guess you missed that part. I did get immobilized and it made it hard to get through that wall.

I find marks work well enough for zoning because people will either avoid them or devote dodges for them, which I would rather happen then they randomly dodge a fear. I won’t lie though, the move of greater marks hit me hard… People more pretty fast, and in my old age I used that crutch for many months after the game came out.

I don’t really break my videos down like this buy this is kind of interesting.

Enjoy your pro footage. Im done with explaining simple stuff and getting warned by the modes. Its quite simple. You either get it or you dont. You are either a good player or you are not. I shouldn’t have bothered with forums in the first place. Now I know for sure only “not smart” players are roaming around so I definitely have no place here.

PS: Will ease the modes by deleting them all. Pointless to have sth here at all lol
