Preacher Roy-Guardian, Preacherroy-Engineer, Necro Preacher-Necromancer, Preacher Clone-Mesmer
The main problem i see for condition Necro’s WvW is our reliance on condi duration to do any sizable amount of damage. The “problem” therefore becomes that many classes have/can spec into passive condition removers which completely counters our damage without them having to sacrifice much for it.
Ex: Blood is Power when stacking just condition duration Blood is Power gives 2 bleeding stacks and lasts 58sec, but if fighting a Guardian you can only count on 10sec of that at the most to be applied to your target. Taking the total damage you can count on going through from nearly 6k to around 2k. That is 4k damage negated from a passive.
Possible Fixes:
Give necro’s the ability to apply stacks of conditions faster.
We need some abilities with semi long cool-downs that will let us put a good amount of stacks on our target, therefore allowing us to get the majority of our damage through before our conditions are removed.
IDEA!: An ability that take all conditions on the target and applies the sum of the damage instantly.
Change the way condition removal is treated:
Condition removal should be treated like block/invulnerability becuase in essence the same thing is happening by them negating the incoming damage. Condition removal should be something that the defending player should have to activate. Traits that activate when the player reaches a certain health % are not really an issue because they are usually a major trait and should have a lager effect, but the signets that give passive condition removal for just having them on your bar need to be reworked.
Just some of my thoughts on the issue.
