Necro - WvW roaming - V.6
Very nice. My fav utility combo is epi, sw and bip. Didnt know about the noble runes. Will definitely try em out with some dire gear
Are you able to get 2 ticks of terror off without necro runes? How do you feel about scavenging runes?

If you mean can I always get two terror ticks with this setup, no. My fear duration is only 70%, which means my long range DS3 fear and stakitten fear only last 1.7 seconds. They still tick twice most of the time, but not always.
If you are in for raw damage, scavenging is the best rune right now. Not only does it give you that highest raw damage, but it gives you the life steal procs, which are down right wicked in 1v1 fights. I have them, but wanted to spend more time working with the noble runes first, as they are more involved.
Nice vid Ren those might stacks are impressive with that condition damage.

Are you using Dire or Rabid staff? Your build is incomplete in the link.

Hmm, Link works for me.
I ran rabid, with the theory being, that any bleed procing with condition damage that high is going to be welcome. Also you want the dummfire up as much as possible. I was using the 20 points in the death tree to make up for the loss of defensive stats by not taking Dire gear.
That being said, you could just as easily use Dire. Since your sigils are not on-crit, it is not a huge loss (just barbed precision and uptime on dummfire). You might argue dire would be much better, because it would allow you to keep the fight going long enough for your might stacks to compound into the 20s from swapping.
it’s tougher to pull off than just going straight for max condi damage with scavenging, but do 16+ stacks of might give more condi damage? bip, sigils of battle, runes of noble

It gives way more condi damage than scavenging runes in the long run. I was ticking up in the 170s, while with scavenging runes you are going to only be in the 160s with blood is power, and obviously for a shorter duration.
I agree it is much harder to pull off though. If you forget to swap, or swap late, or forget to use blood is power (which I do a lot), you miss out on that damage boost. Also being forced to swap can be counter productive.
I personally enjoyed the synergy with retaliation and the might stacks. I have no power gear on, but with the might stacks I was seeing retaliation hits for 300. That adds up over time.
Back again with another roaming video. I decided this time to try a different build with the new Superior Rune of the Noble.
Where did you find Superior Rune of the Noble? I can’t seem to find them in the Black Lion. I’d really like to try this build!
Edit: Oh, and what is so special about Superior Sigil of Bursting? +6 Con Damage doesn’t seem all that great. I’ve seen several builds with that on their main weapon.

Noble comes from a dungeon (and only from that dungeon). Caudecus’s Manor
Bursting sigil is 6% damage, not 6. Tool tip error.

or the Mystic Forge.
Theoretically you could throw in major runes till you are blue in the face I guess… but practically you need to farm them for 120 tokens each in that dugeon.
thats 12 runs, which isnt terrible. due to their cheap price, i’ll be trying scavenging with bursting sigil first and see how i like it. 13% additional condi damage at all times is very simple to manage, whereas stacking might is a bit of an involved process. have to pre-cast your heal as well for max burst =(

And I imagine most people feel that way. But it is nice to know that if you want to practice (like with bursting bleed builds) it can pay off in the end. I in no way showed this build used to its highest potential, but I think there is something there for a full time build.
The challenge I have is that I just don’t want to be on staff certain times, and if I don’t go to staff, I lose out on the rolling might buff. Not sure there is a good solution for that. In either case yes the runes are not hard to get… took me just a few days.
