So, to be brief and precise, am I the only one here that finds it very amusing how thiefs with their class unique ability “steal” get a 3sec aoe fear when stealing from necro, while necros themselves have only 2 fears 1 second each ? Its kinda not logical.

To be fair, it’s 1 1/4 seconds each.

It must be easier to scare people underwater, because there we get an aoe 2 1/2s fear..

Well to me logic dictates that if you’re a thief and you’re stealing signature ability of some class you should obviously be less proficient at it….

this is one of many things that really irks me in this game, i think the only other profession that should even have access to fear are mesmers

1. I never have seen Terror (fear does damage) crit
2. Damage of Terror scales with your lvl, a lvl 1 does 44 damage, at lvl 80 it does ~700 (depending on power) damage
3. Stop posting nonsense without testing it yourself

It is funny that yet again with everything on the Necromancer that a skill can be done better with another profession. Though thief/warrior CD for fear are very long i think thief is 45(35ish if traited?) and the CD goes down when they are holding the steal. And Warriors is 80 seconds.
Necro’s fears are on much shorter cooldown.

Um hello they’re not on short cooldown. 40 sec for the ae staff one which is solely one second, and 20 sec for the ST one which is more or less simply an interrupt, add to this requirement of lifeforce and 10 sec DS cooldown. A 2 sec daze would be stronger.

I agree, our Fears leave much to be desired. You can extend them with traits although you have to sacrifice too much for it. I still like my Fears, the ranged aspect of them in contrast to Thief and Warrior is great, but we still lack the duration that allows those other professions to get so many extra hits on us.

Also to correct an above poster, our fears are only 1 second long. Any longer is due to your stat boosts from traits or runes.

While I am not the OP you quoted,Terror does crit. I tested it a few days ago on Cursed Shore. And the crit damage was exactly 141. I have around 2k power. You should be more polite when replying to others.
