What is the Necro’s place in FotM? I am currently running in 20s with my condition (rabid) build and it is a ton of fun and great output, along with debuffs and condition removal party wide. Am I doing it right or is there a preferred build for Necro’s in higher levels?

inb4 necro doesn’t belong in fotm

Personally, I run soldier stats with a focus on wells: suffering, corruption, healing, power. Well of Power is absolutely incredible for a team anywhere. The mobs just sit in my damage wells. Yours sounds fine.

For the most part, fotm isn’t too “elite” until 40+, and I have only had one experience with someone in my party questioning someone else’s build. (the someone-else in question also liked to use transform tonics every chance they could)

I would say condition or full berserker.

Condition, for the sustain damage on boss and also epidemic. (Epidemic is pretty good to clear fire shaman’s adds. Of course also underwater.)

Full berserker, basically mimicing a warrrior but without cleave and party buff. Try to use well to compensate our lack of cleave to clear trash. And of course dps bosses.

Forget about condition removal, guardian can do better with soldier runes and save yourself.

Other than vulnerability, other debuff isn’t really useful in fractal but I’m not sure if going axe sacrificing damage to apply vulnerability for ally is the correct way to go.

I run wells and marks on staff using builds that lean more toward hybrid or a balanced blend of stats but do not run fractals that often, though always in PUGs. Under water is pretty simple using Bone Fiend, BiP, and Epi. On land I switch utilities depending on the situation but usually take the Corruption trait for BiP and Epi CD or targeted wells ans ritual mastery. I run a lot of ranged AoE and Consume Conditions.

Gear is Rampager, Rabid, or Soldiers with an eye toward precision. I try not to be too glassy or too tanky.

Well of Power is astounding against the Shaman (made even better now with a reduced cooldown). Stand still in it for pulsing aegis. Life Transfer is good for breaking down his shield too.

I know at one point having a Necro along during the Jade Maw fractal boss fight was a nice safety valve against a wipe + reset thanks to judicious DS use.

At what point beserk set doesn’t cut the deal? After lvl 30?
Going full condi with precision-condi dmg- toughness will be seurvival enough later on if zerker doesn’t quite do the job?
