Necromancer Minion Control
There is already a thread about this on the front page right now.
What would everyone think about giving necromancers some minor controls over their minions? The reason I feel this is so needful is that I love playing a minion master build but I dislike the attitude I often get from other players when I play in dungeons or fractals. I am often told, “Hey necro! Turn off your minions for this fight!” or “Necro, this boss does such and such NO MINIONS!”
Of course I have toned down the vulgarity of these statements but I think my fellow minion masters understand where I am coming from.
By the way, I LOVE the current change that has been made to allow our minions to avoid most AOE damage, this change alone has vastly improved things, however I would like to suggest a small addition to further improve our lot in life.
- Implement a small control bar UI that pops up when we have an active minion(s). This should provide some rudimentary control such as a “passive mode button” where minions will just follow and not attack anything and a “attack this target button” where minions will return to their normal AI such as they are now and focus on your current target.
I am sure there are many other things that would be nice and I know the developers have many other things on their plate. So I’ll leave it to the community. What would help minion masters be more of a boon to a group or a boss fight? What difficulties have you had?
