This is the only Necromancer build that I have come up with thus far:

http://www.gw2build.com/builds/bleed-necromancer-condition-out-for-blood-5725.html

I am having quite a lot of luck with this build. It has excellent condition control, and transfer. Bleeds could use a bit more length, but the condition damage makes up for it.

By all means, try it out and let me know what you think by leaving a question or comment, cheers.

Blood is power is pretty meh. I think plague signet is a must, as it’s a stun breaker and an overall amazing ability.
Flesh Golem is a no-no… The minion AI is horrible.
I tried 20 in blood but I prefer 30 in Death, especially when you consider how stupid mark of evasion is. You can only have 1 mark of blood down at a time… :/

its the basic cheese conditionmancer build that any necro that hasnt rerolled yet uses, but a couple wtfs

wtf#1 – Flesh golem instead of plague? really?

wtf#2 – Shrouded removal? You should be hoarding conditions on you, not getting rid of them

Flesh golem is horrendous idea for condition build. Blood is power only useful if you are running any kind of DS heavy spec. Otherwise its a waste of time. Big bleed damage means nothing… it is spread over 30 seconds… in that time it will be either removed or some one will die. Also your gear runes make no sense. Poison duration?…. I wouldn’t even bother. And where is your plague signet?………………………….
1. elite skill take plague. 20 seconds of aoe blinds can mean you will stay alive while ur full stack of bleeds gets that rogue/warrior/guardian down. Theres nothing else work taking. Since your damage in lich form will be laughable.
2. epidemic/plague signet/corrupt boon. Its not even subject to debate.
3. Do yourself a favor take 30 points in spite tree. It gives you passive condition durations.(spiteful spirit for shrugging off melee bursts, signet mastery and spiteful marks) with that duration boost. You can switch to greater runes of undeath. and wear rabid amulet.
that gives u 30 spite/30 curses… last 10 points… I honestly don’t know… take either mark of evasion/dagger mastery from blood… or greater marks from death. Honestly if you like to use staffs which you should. Greater marks make more sense since mark of evasion can’t be out at the same time as mark of blood. Also evasion mark gives 2 bleeds and not 3. Also theres internal cd of about 10 seconds on it. All in all either dagger mastery or greater marks. Which ever you value more.
Forgot to mention… as most necro related skills… Greater marks is as broken as it gets. Half arent any bigger… chill isn’t applied properly…. oh and they aren’t unbreakable at all. So i guess dagger mastery it is!

(I had the wrong sigils equipped on the build.)

Plague is an option, however I don’t like being locked out of all of my weapon abilities… it’s a good choice, though. I use the Flesh Golem to knock down groups of enemies and place an AoE on top of them while they cannot move. I keep the Flesh Golem off of cd and cast it at the fight location… this limits the problems it can have with terrain.

Plague Signet is a also a great choice. I am usually not in the middle of fights, so I don’t use the Signet.

I’ve included Undead runes in my build, and I already wear a Rabid amulet. Good idea, though.

I prefer to have a reduced cool-down on both my staff, and dagger abilities.

Leaving the Mark of Blood when dodging is a bit over-rated, but it does help. One could choose a 10 pt boost to Spite traits instead.

If you check my notes on the build, I have included information on the Greater Marks issues. Surely, these won’t be permanent.

However, Greater Marks is a must for AoE fights. The increased radius on Mark of Blood helps to harass foes. With proper spreading of Conditions, this build can really put out a lot of damage.

If one chooses to instead put 30 point into the Spite traits, then I recommend also going 2x Afflicted, 2x Centaur, and 2x Krait runes. This will maximize Bleed durations.

Great input, all.

I also run the Flesh Golem instead of plague form.

Simply put Plague form never performs and even full conditions the actual damage is exceptionally low. Sure you can spam cripples and blinds but it’s essentially just another form of death shroud to take some heavy damage.

As far as the flesh golem goes I run it strictly for it’s knockdown. I could care less if it actually attacks someone but the knockdown is nice.

I see we share a common view on Plague.

I feel as if the bleeds that I can put out without transforming into the Plague are far more substantial.

When a foe is knocked down it is pretty easy to land AoE on them ;-)

Plague form is not meant to be great dmg, (although when you add up all the AE it turns out to be decent) it’s more for group fighting. You hit than and run into an enemy group spamming ‘Plague of Darkness’ and their damage output goes way down. Your allies will be able to push right up with very little retaliation. Then when the enemy realize they are getting beat, they turn to run, and that’s when you spam cripple. Choke points are needed, but it’s incredibly effective.
This doesn’t even cover the survivability benefits.

Indeed, it can also really push back enemy lines, cause an entire group to waste long CD attacks and it stops stragglers dead in their tracks for your vicious horde of fellow WvWer’s to take some righteous vengeance on. Flesh Golem isn’t a terrible idea though.. I just prefer him more for general PvE roaming because while he does have slightly better A.I. than the rest of our pets, he’s still very prone to just going idle.

Shrouded Removal is there because the site has no glyph for V ;-) check my notes.

plague signet is busted… it doesnt take the conditions off your allies… just copies it
