Necromancer "don't run away from me"
Most people run from necros (or just any general conflict in wvw unless they outnumber you) before you can even hit them so it probably wouldn’t make a difference.
Idk, your second suggestion seems a little over the top. Conditions were meant to be over time damage and since all teleport skills are instantaneous that would mean this fourfold damage would need to be instantaneous as well, IE a huge burst in a split second. More access to torment seems fine but giving more access to torment and adding the 4x damage seems to be a bit much for conditions, especially for classes whose main stun break is a movement skill(shadowstep, blink, lightning reflexes).
Change to Dark Path to make it shadowstep or faster projectile is a step forward. Might be a bit OP to make it shadowstep, but right now the skill cannot get you to thiefes because it’s not instant and warriors, engis, ranger are too fast for it.
It would not be OP to make Dark Path a instant attack. We NEED a 100% reliable gap closer. Even long range classes like Ranger and Mesmer get reliable gap closers, yet we necros, a mainly short range class like thief, get none. Dark path is too slow, it can be dodged, blocked ect…it just sucks. If I got a target and I click dark path – Poof – I should be there. The fact I have to go in to DS to use it should be enough opportunity cost to justify it being instant.
I think it would be fine if the cast time was reduced (say to 1/2 second) and the projectile speed increased by about 30%.
We need moar immobilize. It’s only fair.
