I know this build isnt going to be better than Nemesis’ build. Lets face it, he is the best necromancer out there.

And, i am no “pro” build maker, just something i created wich i think works good in dungeons. I seem to kill enemies pretty quick.

I post this here, for some feedback on my build, because the Gw2build site isnt very active with the comments :s Any tips on how to improve it? Please dont say "You need more toughness! You will die alot. Because i wont. I am the one in my group that stays alive the longest.

I would like to just say that watching your video made me want to make my Charr a Necromancer instead of a Mesmer (I still can’t decide). I have seen a lot of hate for the necromancer on it’s own forums, and was actually put off of it because people said wells were so bad, but to see how they can be used for combo fields and AOE usefulness, it makes me want to go ahead and try it out for myself.

I like ur build a lot. I just worried why most of people make builds with PvP accessories. The point is to make and show ur build with normal equipement so we can know what to buy.

Ramiah: I would say try them both. Necro is very good with builds. AMAZING AOE and support. (Some wells turn boons into conditions, and some wells give blindness) But again, they have a 36 second CD if you have traited them to CD faster, but they kill SUPER quick. Aswell as AOE, and its so much fun when doing dungeons and like 5 enemies are attacking you. Just drop the wells etc. and all 5 enemies are gone in a blink

Klaus: I wrote in the build description they were just for demonstration. It was the only options available (PvP accessories) so i took the one that gave the proper stats (Power + vitality) so people would understand i use accessories that gives that. Like, power + vit is the most important stats in this build since it focuses on survivability with all the healing and alot DPS.

yea those builders are strictly pvp idk why they dont have any pve builders its wierd. but i might be making a necro now since this nerf to mesmers and she was my main… necro might be my next 80 at this point. seems like u guys dont get cry babies saying ur OP then bam whack a mole. nerf.

Thats true lord! Necro is alot of fun I have 2 80’s, warrior and necro. The necro is a lot more fun

I think most people avoid posting “pve” builds because outside of high level fractals, any build works fine. A full zerker/rampager build with their associated stats is all you would need to maximize damage. What would be the point of weaving in “toughness” against a mob that already hits you for 1/3 of your life and you SHOULD be able to dodge its attacks? Everything mobs do is telegraphed, and the AI is very predictable.

PVP builds focus on giving someone a build they can use either for small groups or large zergs that allows them to maximize the roll they want to fill, while providing as much cushion as possible for player mistakes.

In response to your video, as I tend to not agree with the build you posted as it seems sort of…. scattered around compared to how things synergize; I would say the following:

1. Yes that AOE is pretty good, but really no different than a standard condition build with wells. It also requires you to blow EVERY cooldown you have to do it. Not to split hairs, but a mesmer could easily do that much AOE with a handful of weapon skills and one utility, in 2-3 seconds. With your build you are waiting around for 20-30 seconds for minon and well cooldowns to do your next “burst”.

2. It is a common misconception that the necro community thinks necros are “bad”. Most people on here who post are quite negative (myself included), because we hope in the back of our mind that Anet will realize the gaping holes that prevent us from being a great class without forcing us into niche roles and requiring a high skill cap just to play the class well.

3. I love the class, and although I have an 80 mesmer I play, I always go back to my necro, because I enjoy the playstyle.

The world is not a complicated place, and it is even less so in the online world. When the necro population in WvW is nearly as low as the engineer population, there are only a few plausible explanations:

a. The class is not fun to play.
b. The class is not strong enough/too complicated at an average skill level.

Ever wonder why WvW is full of thieves? Because at an average (even below average) skill level they can be extremely effective. Shouldn’t all the classes be effective at an “average” level, so that one day when we ascend into the above average column we can be as amazing as the top tier thieves/guardians/mesmers?

Nice build but in pve all seems good and powerful.. need to try it in a pvp context, because most of people dont “cry” about pve damage.

Yes, this is mostly a PvE build since it uses wells. But if you manage to knockdown your foe with the flesh golem or use the number 3 immobilize on your foe, they can be pretty kitten happy if they survive the well bomb + bone minion combo
