Monkshood (i.e. wolves bane). Deadly poisonous plant with a blue/purple flower. I am so glad I was able to procure it for my Sylvari at launch.

As for myself, I went with my usual “Human” Necromancer (or Undead-type) name: Sigil Fane. Although, in retrospect, I wonder if anyone went with the name Gerrald Tarrant …

I’m only so-so at names. My Necro’s name is Tezra Conflickr. Female Asura, named after the Conflickr worm.

My necromancer is named Venus. I thought making the Greco-Roman goddess of beauty into a necromancer was an interesting inversion—maybe she’s a temptress of sorts?

I also snagged ‘Bathory’ at launch, perhaps that might have been more appropriate? “Welcome darling, to my sacrifice!”

I’m actually perfectly content with Necromonger. Where we learn one pain can lessen another…

I’m very bad at thinking up names, and when the game first came out I wanted something that would sound like an actual name. So instead I thought, what is the character’s theme going to be? Since he’s a necromancer, he deals with the unending circle of life and death, so his theme is “infinite”. So I go to google and type “names meaning ‘infinite’”, do some searching for something that sounds exotic enough for a fantasy game, and I stumble across “Azman”.

And that’s how my very first GW2 character came to be. I also gave him the Eternal Alchemy background, which I thought was very fitting.

Tenebrous because it fits the class well and conjures good memories of Lovecraft for me.

Thursday because you are almost dead just before the weekend (it was also the day I made her).

I have 2 necro’s, Bulls Torment (recently name changed because of the definition of the word not the new condition, though that is what made me think of it) and also – Bulls Reaper.

Bulls Torment – condition necro.

Niflheim fits both the class and the race : refers to death and nordic mythology.

Volguus : like Volguus Zildrohar, also known as Gozer in the movie Ghostbusters. I also think its sounds quite “nornish”.

Specify the details for the “perfect world” because there are more level of decence and attinence for names: there are some people who prefer to make original realistic fantasy Rpg names, others quick-easy placeholder names which Pvpers are used to take, leaked-names from exhistent characters from public domains which are used by fans without imagination, etc..

Lilin is one of hell’s succubus princesses later to become queen and satans concubine.

Then she is on the run hiding from the devil for falling in love with an angel and bearing his child.
(She seduced the angel to make it fall from grace but fell in love instead.)
This child would be the one prophesized to take the devils throne but gets killed together with his father by other angels as punishment for the fathers sin.

Lilin remained hidden in the living world ever since as the only demon ever to trick the devil.
