Lovecraft Thrall was the name of my GW1 necro/mesmer. “Lovecraft” for the legendary creator of the Great Old Ones, “Thrall” because his secondary was mesmer and it fit.

He is now resurrected as a Charr necromancer after Grenth decided his work was not yet done. He was at first appalled to find he’d grown claws and teeth, but now he’s rather proud of them.

Pox on my Sox. Kinda like it, thought about a rename but I don’t dislike the name enough to pay for it.

Ashe Tongue was my sylvari necro. Thought it referenced desolation pretty well.

Dhup is my asura. “Duppy” is a carribean word for ghost. But since he’s a male, I drop the vowel sound at the end.

Though, I have “Ikobod” saved on an alt because Im thinking of a name change.

“Poe” would be a good asura name but all of it’s forms are taken.

Svart (Black in Swedish) for my Norn Necro and the reason I rushed to log in within 5 minutes into the game release.

Well that would be Envy. But of course it was taken. So I named mine Xnvy. Which I honestly think is better and much more evil.

Olaf Hrafnsson- Norn Necromancer

For a necro like him, the corpses and the spirits of his ancestors aren’t just flesh and bones to be honored. They are a legacy to be studied and a constant source of inspiration.
So, Olaf is a fitting name, because it means: “ancestor’s heirloom”, while Hrafnsson means son of the Raven, the spirit who have shared with him the knowledge of the planes.

Mine is Anyta Landy:

• Anyta from Anita Blake of the Vampire Hunter series (she’s a Necromancer).
• Landy from the author of Skulduggery Pleasant, Derek Landy (the main character, Skulduggery Pleasant, is an undead Mage inhabiting a skeleton).
