While playing my condition necro last night I had a couple of ideas to improve some skills and traits. This is mostly from the point of view of a condition necro and i know these changes are not gonna fix every problems necromancer have…

First the condition necromancer weapon of choice the scepter:

Skill #1: make the third hit poison and add 3% life Force
Skill #2: change the 3 stack of bleed for 3 stack of torment
Skill #3: remove all bleeding stacks and damage the target for condition damage x 0.25 x #bleed stack (have to playtest this thing to get the right numbers but you get the idea)

Corrosive Poison Cloud

This skill is pratically useless at the moment. I Can count it on one hand the times I’ve used it. I would simply add 1-2 stacks of torment per tick, so at the end of the duration of the poison cloud each target (max five) that’ve been inside the cloud would have 5-10 torment stack +weakness + Poison.

Traits

There a lot of traits that need rework and/or are utterly useless (*cough Spiteful Marks *cough) but I just want to focus and the last four GM traits that were added to the necromancer.

Parasitic Contagion I would switch this trait to Curses tree

Path of Corruption This one could go to Soul reaping tree

Unholy Sanctuary Switch this trait to the Blood Magic tree and let life leech and regen boon work trough Death Shroud

Unholy Martyr This one switch to Death Magic

Renewing Blast Of course this one have to go to the Spite tree, but I would add something completely different. Maybe a %increased damage for each necro pets currently alive or something else…

skill #1 might help the scepters lack of death shroud generation
skill #2 slight nerf in pve buff in pvp
The skill one could really help but i feel necromancer could use torment somewhere else like lifeblast maybe
at the moment moving the grandmaster traits around wouldn’t do much (except for unholy martyr and unholy sanctuary) because build have already been developed with the current placement

here are some of my ideas
scepter skill 3 I feel would be better useful as Feast
uholy martyr would be better off getting remove a condition every 3 second from allies in the area

i have been trying to get feedback on these trait ideas they would be blood grandmaster traits
strip enchantment
steal health when you remove or corrupt an enchantment
damage 650
healing 650

examples
you use corrupt boon and turn 5 boons into condition you will also steal 650*5 health from the target
you use spinal shivers and remove 1 boon you steal 650 health

blood ritual 15second cooldown
steal health after you cast a well
damage 200
healing 200
duration 5 seconds

examples you cast a well then hit your target with ghastly claws and life siphon
total of 17 hits made 17*200 life stolen

What I found out is that master of corruption would be useful if not for the fact that the only 2 corruptions ever used are on cool downs we will tolerate for terror. So here is what I thought of that would both make necro more useful AND add diversity to condition builds.

Master of Corruption
Reduces recharge of corruption skills
corruptions have additional effects

Blood is Power: grant nearby allies 3 stacks of might
Corrosive Poison Cloud: destroys projectiles in field area
Epedemic: Copies (not transfers) your conditions to foes afflicted
Corrupt Boon: seriously, what more do you need?
