Necros and Minions PVE
id say stick with the fleshy, hes a beast, a minions build is not bad, with/without traits, just dont use the build in dungeons as all can be 1 shot(?)
i personally have made a new build that can use any of the 3 elites, focused on wells, axe, and condi swap(scepter), however dagger main is dmg king for us(pure dmg with life siphon and bind)
build:
30 spite, 10 death, 30 blood
both main hands have sigil of fire(aoe burst dmg), focus on power/prec, minor in everything else, if preferred you can have an offhand sigil stack(power/prec/condi/healing) to offset any weakness you want to counter
My armor set focuses on Power , Vitality and Toughness.
My main weapon is staff ( got DD too > using it for siphoning in serious situations ).
now I’m level 70 and my hp is 23K, it’s rarely to drop to 10k(thanks to my minions which I rely on the to damage my foe and heal me all the time ).
I’m the last man standing in all dungeons and events because of that. Death shroud helps me alot to avoid death.
I believe that MM build is the best for Necromancers.

It would help if you told us the utilities you want to use.

Utilities: right now, when I’m soloing, I’m running with either
1. All signets – 10% of the time (power, locust, and the life force giving one)
2. All wells – 30% of the time
3. All minions – the rest of the time just to not die so quickly
When in parties/dungeons, it either #2 or #3 (mostly #2).
For purely personal (O/C) reasons, I don’t want to mix and match utility skill types >_< But again, I’m open to ideas.
signets:spite or locust as needed
wells:suffering or darkness
minions:bone/shadow fiend
mix and match any:)
get 20 into blood magic (pick up transfusion and well cooldown) and then you probably want 15 into death magic (getting either greater marks or staff cooldown). Use the well of darkness, well of power, well of corruption, well of blood, and lich form.
Note that wells mostly benefit from power. If you want to do decently with wells you should probably use dagger/focus or dagger/dagger with staff on swap.
If you use signets I’m not sure as I never used necromancer signets.
