Currently running with fully ascended rabid gears and a mix of carrion (helm, coat, pants) and rabid armors (shoulder, gloves and shoes) slotted with runes of the undead and carrion weapons with sigils of Earth.

I am looking for some recommendations for a good condition build after the new patch change for wvw and pve including burning.

the first thing ive done with the new builds is to go back to terrormancer. I put 0/30/10/0/30. utilities of spectral wall, epidemic, and optional (well of power/signet of locust/spectral grasp) loving it so far, but most likely will need adjustment. it’s too new to tell.

btw, i am loving spectral wall/staff 5/doom for keeping up fear while my bleeds tick.

make sure you take fear duration traits and fear damage traits while using runes of necro for fear duration. haven’t done any dungeons with it yet only wvw.

if your after the burn trait then you need the 30 into spite for the trait i would also say for condition build that you need a least 20 – 30 points in curses which would leave you with 10-20 which i would put into ether death or blood for ether the unblock able marks or the dagger cd.

so something like this maybe (im still playing around with it myself):

30/30/10/0/0
30/30/0/10/0
30/20/10/10/0

i don’t think any is needed for extra ds time even for taint since you can go out of ds after you cast it and the skill will still continue

Thanks for the quick response! I am deciding to go 30/30/10/0/0 or 0/30/10/0/30 for the terror build. One question I have is how much power if good for a power/condition nerco? Will having 2500-2700 attack be enough for a power build with 1600 condition dmg? Thanks

For my staff build in WvW, I’m going to experiment with a 30/20/20/0/0 to see how well Dhuumfire works. I’ll still be able to sustain 100% condition duration, but currently my WvW condition build only has, like, a 24% chance to crit with any attack, so the burning isn’t going to be super-reliable.

For PVE conditions, I’m debating whether to take Dhuumfire at all. It’ll definitely be a 30/30/x/x/x build as it usually is, but with the fact that everyone and their grandmother has access to burning, I’m don’t think it will contribute to PVE effectiveness of necros at all.

I don’t have opinions. I only have facts I can’t adequately prove.

Pure condition builds are awful for PvE. Period. Thanks to the bleed cap set at 25 and being shared. There’s a post somewhere where Colin acknowledges this and basically says they don’t ever plan on fixing it due to the way their servers handle conditions. (in a round-about “professional” way of course) if bleed caps were increased or changed so that each player could have their own stacks it would either be too overpowered or cost too much bandwidth.

So essentially, by being a “conditionmancer” you are gimping yourself in a PvE environment where burst is king.

PvP and WvW are entirely different stories of course.

The idea that conditions are useless in PVE is an oft repeated and incorrect myth. Necromancers cause conditions in an AoE, which lets them do a lot of damage over time to a lot of enemies. There are only a few circumstances where conditions become an issue:

A)Against environmental objects
B)Against large overworld bosses
C)When having more than 2 condition dedicated builds while running in dungeons.

Otherwise, enjoy a fountain of numbers spewing from your targets.

I just tried the 30/30/10/0/0 build it seemed okay not too great due to you can only get burning after certain time interval but the condition duration is better for more condition stacking. But, what are some advantages for the 0/30/10/0/30 build?

i think its comes down to double fear duration and stability

The burning is good. It’s really noticeable.
Especially since we get 30% increased bleed duration as well.

My main issue at the moment is LF generation. I am really struggling to have enough lf to tank bursts and to cast our new condi and the usual fear etc.

I am running a 30/20/10 build and I am still not sure what to do with the last 10 points.

They are not awful, 20 + stacks of aoe bleeds with long durations, plus all the chills and cripple for team support and now with the addition of torment and dhuumfire(if u choose to take it) is really strong. Although i wouldnt go full condition build. Adding in some power is better imo. The only issue with conditions is the caps on them.
