This trait is outstandingly awful. A master of Corruption would not be more vulnerable to corruption skills, but a novice would. Every heard of that master that cut himself with his own sword? No. You hear about novices that inflict more injury onto themselves than normal. What makes this trait worse is the fact that it is next two two really good traits, one of them even having corruption in its name! In a perfect world, Master of Corruption would be erased from existence, Consume Conditions would not be a corruption anymore and have a 25 second cd again, and Plague would be a Well. However, if this trait must stay, it should be merged with Path of Corruption, have foolish novice penalty removed, and be moved to the grandmaster tier.

On a less serious note, why is it that Necromancers, the king of dying, have death magic as their survivability line? What ever happened to the saying that spiteful old people live the longest? Wouldn’t that make more sense? (I’m seriously joking)

As long as you are not condi ironically pick it if you’re going curses but maybe it’s intended since the other 2 masters are condition focused. It seems some power, tank and hybrid builds make some use of it just don’t use it on condition necro.

Honestly the trait punishes you twice for giving only one benefit. You see having a cooldown reduction also means that your self application has a lower cooldown. In fact it is so ridicolous you need at least three cleanses to keep up with the usage of both blood is power and epidemic.

Wouldn’t be so bad if they gave the corruptions extra effects if you used the trait. And the cool down reduction is not really a benefit considering they increased the base cool down of epidemic and Consume Conditions.

Traited corruption cooldowns are shorter then traited plague signet cooldown.

It’s meh I only see people use it for CC and Plague stomping lol. In PvE sure anything works in PvE even if they fixed stab conversion and fear transferring there is no way I’m choosing MoC over the other in a condition spec. It’s intended for non condition spec in PvP that’s a fact, corruptions only corrupt you ironically.

That depends on your perspective. Me, I look at Master of Corruption and I see two benefits with no downside. Benefit 1, it reduces the cooldown of my corruption abilities. Benefit 2, it causes my corruption abilities to give me more conditions, so I get ammo more quickly. Plague Signet, Deathly Swarm, Putrid Mark, Spiteful Renewal, we’ve got all sortsa unseemly uses for contagion.

I would trade all the self condis that I can to transfer for condis that I can apply to the foe without applying it to myself so that I can save my transfers for defense from something dangerous like immobilize.
