Open world Condi Reaper speed problem. Help
also if the build can include minions it would help a lot for me to solo some HOT HPs
Here is my open world PvE build. It a minion build and has 25% run speed.
With this build I can solo almost every HP in HoT. I can also solo most of the roaming champs in any zone too. Staff does a lot of damage and this has a lot of survivability.
FYI, you can just put Signet Of The Locust on your bar between fights and swap it out before engaging. It’s open world, the enemies won’t run at you if you don’t aggro them first.

Signet of Locust, I swap it constantly. And its also very good skill too, secondary heal.
Get Blood Magic and off-hand dagger. In adept traits you will have a trait increasing your speed by 25% when you have dagger equipped.
I’m not a fan of running Signet of Locust. You never use it’s active part in PvE nor trait it, so it just takes utility slot you could use to bring more useful utilities and swapping out every time you engage in combat might be good in WvWvW, but is just a chore in PvE.

I don’t see the problem. For open world you don’t need max DPS, just pick Blood, as a condi reaper should be rocking scepter and dagger anyway. What ever gain you’d get from picking up Death you’ll lose either by losing 25% duration from runes or from an utility skill to have Locust.
You can try to change Locust before a fight but it was clunky, I found, sometimes we don’t have the time before a fight starts or whatever.

Well of Suffering is pretty close in actual damage compared to Corrosive Poison Cloud (since the diminished CD of CPC makes no difference as we have to wait until Shroud #4 is off CD anyway) but has the bonus of healing when we do shroud #4 on it, and it heals pretty decently. On four or five mobs expect half your HP back.
There’s nothing really useful in the mid-tier of Curses, so don’t bother min-maxing, leave Master of Corruption as is despite having no Corruptions skills on, and this is because once you’re out of open world and headed into fractals/dungeons you switch Well of Suffering for Corrosive Poison Cloud and Suffer for Blood is Power.
Still on fractals/dungeons if there is enough Might to go around you can also switch Chilling Victory for Decimate Defenses, but if the fractal is high enough Might is harder to get so don’t bother switching Chilling Victory.

Equip Scepter-dagger and trait Blood Magic with quickening thirst, life from Death, and Transfusion.
If you want minions, take death Magic and drop either Curses or greatsword. Alternatively, forget conditions, Curses, and scepter.
There is no way to have everything you want without making trades between dagger, SotL, greatsword, minions, or condition damage. Hybrids are normal.
Warhorn and locust can safely supplement almost any build. I use a Dhuumfire burn build for pve with locust and warhorn and it’s ridiculously easy.
Blood is max dps most of the time anyway.
