I have been playing a melee style but curious if MM style using pets alot would be better for pve. My current is this.

its subjective; but MM sucks atm, ive barely seen any 60+ necros run minions; and the ones that did used them in dungeons (full MM builds, not just the ones that ‘could’ be useful utiltity; golem,deadvourer and wurm; showing that they dont really know particularly care about their build)

AI problems aside… and I know thats a REALLY hard thing to put aside, the whole concept of MM is flawed because of giving up all of our utilities to do it. As far as the F1-FX keys are concerned, the necro is already pretty uninteresting, utilizing only the F1 key. Now you want to give up the great utility skills that make us feel powerful, like BIP and Epi, just to have some extra run about DPS with you?

Minions should have been an integral part of the class without forcing us to choose minon or utility. I also think all the minon skills should have been instant cast – period. Its hard enough to cast them and get them up in combat, but to then eat up our ability to cast other things while casting a skill FOR the minion is just stupid. At least an instant trigger and give the minion the wind-up.
