So, most of the time, as a power necro, I have one problem. Stability. I’m aware RS 3 gives you some and Chilled to Bone, gives plenty, but I was wondering if there were any runes/sigils that I could run to get some more.
Other than that, I have no idea what stunbreak to run (using Flesh Wurm atm) but it feels very inefficient and usually isn’t available when I get hit with the big stuns (i.e Headbutt or Basi Venom). Is there a better stunbreak? Or is there some trick or something that you experienced necro players use to avoid them?
I love playing necro, and these were my biggest problems, and I came here wondering if anyone could give me a few pointers.

For stunbreak most use spectral armor and/or plague signet.
As for stab, lack of stab is a necro issue. Reaper made it better with RS 3 and Chilled to the Bones, but Anet nerfed RS 3 so it isn’t as good as it used to be. Lack of stab is definitely an innate weakness that others exploit.
It’s also why power builds don’t work as well as condi builds in the current meta. Power requires you to be in middle of the fights in order to pump out dps, in doing so you’re prone to get cc’ed often. Condi allows you to operate more around the perimeter & kite.

Ah I see, Thanks man, I’ll just try out some condi builds, and I’ll jsut try to dodge the stuns, as well as run spectral armor.

Speed of Shadows coupled with Foot in the Grave is a seven second stun-break if you want to just flash shroud. Also take “You are all weaklings” with the Augury of Death trait and you have a second solid stunbreak that also gives you a quick might boost with decent duration on a thirty second or less cooldown. Through in RS 3 and “Chilled to the Bone” and you have some decent options. Faaaar more than core necro. But, yeah, seems condi and kiting is really the way to be best off for most people
pwr necro is a tough play in sPvP right now. Classes like Ele/Engi/Druid will eat you alive due to high sustain. Necros main bonus in soloQ is the mad poison distribution. You will 1/2 the life expectancy of every player in the game and just about forfeit there long game as 9/10 battles you can out rotate their play with constant poison. Trust me, i tried non-meta GS/ A-W in paladin and would hold very well 1v1… but there was no team play in pwr.

The Reapers in the last WC went down 100 times a match for a reason. They were total glass canons. They didn’t even run Soul Reaping. Their only sustain skill was Spectral Armor which is laughable. No Rise!, no Fleshworm, no Well of Power, no Spectral Walk, no toughness… nothing.

except when you fight a signet necro…. Fear train Choooo Choo! but i agree the WC necro is not even close to viable in SoloQ. Poisonmancer is top in soloQ right now.
