Cos when the thieves had threads talking about nerfs, and when the elementalists had threads talking about nerfs, every other post was about how everyone else in the game needed to L2P and how their class was actually fine.

The numbers of people who think dhuum+terror is overpowered vs those who don’t isn’t significant, it’s that for the most part both sides of the debate have been polite and considerate of the other point of view.

So, congrats on not having a knee-jerk “OMG L2P” reaction like other class forums did when the subject of balance was brought up. You’re great!

Ah, well, Necromancers are used to picking at their own scabs just to see what is underneath.

I, personally, do not think Dhuumfire is OP but I also do not think keeping it is worth screwing up Terror. Nor do I think Dhuumfire will “fix” the class as it actually only benefits glassy builds. The need for enough precision to proc a condition in the power tree and outdo Close to Death is a tough sell. In other words, why try to obsolete Close to Death in the first place? Why not just make it apply at less than 75% health? I do not understand Arenanet’s thinking.

Mostly because its a difference between bandwagon jumpers and the people that actually bothered to play necros a bit more and know how squishy we still are and that yes the amount of condi pressure we can drop is on same levels as a mesmers (that despite that have other roles they are held into) and actually stronger than a engies. The amount of cynical hate and snark made most necros kinda able to look more from other sides of the box we got thrown into.

There is no ‘l2p’ counter for being OP. I tell alot of players that complain about my Necro “Yeah, I know. Sorry about it” then do my best to give them a counter build to mine. I’m forced to use Necro myself against other Necromancers in tournaments.

Necro as a whole isnt really op, damage itself is (kinda same as with current warriors excpet theirs is all thrown in the burst baskets that are easy to dodge), but either way Lol funny i posted the same thing on reddit (best counters to necros are the same old thing with cc and other necros themself since we just dont have sustained ways to react to pressure)

i agree with Andele. necromancers have no sustain or real escape. so hopefully we might see some sustain in next patch or one after. i am pretty sure they will tweak(nerf/buff) some things in next patch though to have less crying(some of it is justified) on the forums. what is unjustified is people coming to necromancer forums saying that we are so OP(some THIEVES!!) that they make joke/troll threads about running around with no amulet in PvP when most other classes can do the same thing.
