Hey guys,

Another quick question as I am become more familiar with the specific mechanics of necromancers.

If an enemy is attacking me and I fear them away, I sometimes see “interrupt” come up on the screen. Would this proc Perplexity runes?

I believe the wall and mark gear can interrupt leaping skills correctly, and some mobs can just be interrupted by attacking them, crabs for instance.

Doom however doesn’t cause an interrupt and aside from the special case I just mentioned, the other fears will not either.

It is another one of those quirky, control effect vs. condition things where they just never bothered to code it as an interrupt and no one complained till they introduced those runes.

Since they have been nerfed, it would be nice to see them work on fear now, but I am sure that would just hasten the speed of condition Nerfs.

I do not run those runes or do I know what they do but if it says proc on interrupt and u interrupt someone then yes it should proc the skill… b/c I know spectral grasp interrupts… lol jk who runs that anyway… well horn 4 does and many of our skills do so I would say ya it procs. Only way to be sure is to test it out

@fear: I’ve never ever seen it interrupt, and in general it doesn’t, allthough you’re not the first person to say it occasionally happens.
Anyway, if the “interruped” pops up on screen it will trigger the rune.

Actually, no. Fear can interrupt skills, but those interrupts will not proc perplexity. There should also be plenty of posts (and maybe even whole topics) dedicated to this circumstance, though I can’t find them right now. But I remember seeing them.

Anything that procs the “interrupt” text will proc perplexity. Fear almost never will.

Fear interrupts enemy skills in practical use, but the game doesn’t count it as “interrupting”, so you can’t use it. For example, you can’t do “daily interrupter” achievement with fear.

Spectral Grasp is kind of awesome. The projectile is arcing so ithas greater range than listed I believe. Not only it chills and pulls which may be nice in some dagger builds, but it also generates fair amount of LF, much greater than listed in descreption I think. It has a use in my DS PvE build

You still can. Perplexity 4 rune bonus still gives 3 confusion on hit, with an ICD and I believe a 20 percent proc. just don’t use all 6 runes

Wow never knew so many would comment about spectral walk…. lol I know people still use it; I was joking I even use it myself. But ya fear does interrupts but I guess like everyone is saying it wont proc?? not for sure myself since like I said I don’t run them but good to know I guess
