Plague Sending triggers on selected targets ?
I believe that, if you crit the mob you selected, even if you also crit another mob with the same attack, Plague Sending will transfer to your selected target. I could be mistaken about this.
If, however, you crit something else and do not crit your target, it will transfer to whatever you did crit.
How plague sending functions is when the threshold of 3 conditions is met (let say staff 3 with bleed, chill and poison) it will trigger plague sending to the current target, so if you happen to switch targets between the beginning of the cast to the end it’s going to hit whatever target you have at the end of the cast.
The
Its passive that triggers a Plague Signet, so yes you need a target.
This is currently my opener in a lot of fights. I think you’re going to love the combo with plague sending and MOC. It’s a really strong opener if you follow up with scepter 2 -> 3 (maybe d5 instead of s3 if its a group of enemies)
For a single target that combo would put up 4 poison, 9 torment, 7 bleeds in 4 casts. Not bad! Not to mention 8 might stacks, loads of weakness, cripple and safety from projectiles. Cripple and torment are good buddies with one another.

As an MoC user plague sending is truly situational, its situations where your dealing with group heavy mobs, then bringing Epidemic can be a godsend but you’ll suffer from 3 or so condi’s after the initial transfer with d4 so plague sending usually rids me of whatevers remaining(typically use epidemic after ive used cpc and BiP).
Just know the situations you’ll be entering as a condimancer my set up constantly shifts to efficiently tackle most problems in front of me. Usually d4 is more than enough unless the boss/mobs love sending condi’s your way that your unable to avoid (lookin at you volcanic fractal burn stacks q_q)
