Plague form and lich should not kill minions
I agree, I think there’s no reason for it. Being locked out of the actives is surely enough to balance this. If it weren’t for this stupid interaction, Lich Form would actually be a better elite for a minionmancer than Golem!
agreed. Neither should transform moa or in the flesh golem’s case pulling a wicked witch act with water.

Not even a tiny bit close to being somewhat remotely plausible.
IIRC it is a bug with our transforms that ANet is aware of but simply hasn’t dealt with yet.
Really? You wouldn’t take 6xDeath Nova explosions over the golem’s buggy AI that never attacks? The charge is great, of course, but it needs a clear run-up to the enemy, which it never gets if it’s picking flowers halfway across the map.

According to Karl, it’s not a bug. He wouldn’t give me any further details on their plans or thoughts on it, he wasn’t prepared to give a 1 on 1 statement. This was 3 months ago.

1) Flesh Golem attacks far more than he bugs
2) If he has bugged AI he’ll be almost directly next to you since that’s what happens when his AI bugs, plus using Charge will reset his aggro
3) Flesh Golem accounts for approximately half the DPS of the full set of minions, if you drop Flesh Golem you lose any chance of killing someone 1v1

Probably some idiotic idea that minions + lich form would be too strong or something.

Its funny how you seem to be the only one for whom Flesh Golem doesn’t bug out as often. I can give him the easiest, most non-cluttered direct path to an enemy and he STILL bugs out 70% of the time, or at least takes 2-3 seconds to start attacking…at which point your run off the mill PvE-Mob is already dead, and a burster in PvP has most likely downed you if you didn’t have at least half full LF. Just my bad luck i guess, but even if it “just” failed 40% of the time for some, it is still crap that doesn’t even happen on kittening private servers of eg WoW, in no other MMO I’ve ever played, and not even in modded p-servers that didn’t have a pet AI build into the original game! Heck, every single Skyrim mod that changes AI or introduces new AI-elements doesn’t bug out more than maybe 1% of the time, and that is without having to hold hands with it like with a little toddler than cannot kittening walk yet.
And as for pathing, I’ve also never seen a Skyrim-mod kitten up so hard with its nav-meshes that companions/mobs/pets would get stuck at tiny pebbles or fail to find a path to attack except if there was no path besides jumping over a wall.

Yeah, I’m sorry but Golem AI is now worse than it ever was, even back at launch.
That’s besides the point though Bhawb, if I think Lich or Plague might be good as a MM elite, the fact that you think Golem would be better has nothing to do with whether or not I should be able to!
The only thing that matters is: why are necro elite transforms the only ones that kill summons? Why don’t engis lose their turrets when they use Elixir X? Why don’t eles lose their elementals when they Tornado? Why don’t necros lose their minions when they go into Shroud?
Its funny how you seem to be the only one for whom Flesh Golem doesn’t bug out as often.
Maybe because I’ve spent a lot of time investigating the AI issues to figure out what is wrong and work around it. I did a stream not that long ago and Flesh Golem did not bug out that much.
