Plague form looks really strong with spamming its #2 skill and

Chilling darkness: Chill on blind

Deathly chill: Chill deals damage

Previously, I often went into plague and spammed 2 as a “don’t kill me” measure, but now you are going to be pumping out the damage as well as being unkillable.

I assume “deathly chill” does damage per application of chill, rather than per second of chill? CAN ANYONE CONFIRM OR DENY THIS? If it is per application, this becomes much much stronger than the new elite shout, since that 12 s of chill would only do one application of damage. Plus plague is better anyway as it grants stability.

It would act like Terror, so it would be just like a damaging condition.

It won’t be unmanageable damage. You’re only applying one damaging condition while you’re doing this.

Two actually, you’d also be poisoning, and if you have Curses w/ some crit chance you would bleed every so often as well. Still not unmanageable though, it seems pretty balanced already.

Poison(they said poison will be intensity rather than duration right?) Plus a blind,with chills, damage on child’s and the occasional bleed?
Sounds like you can ruin up to five peoples day pretty easy with that. They can’t heal too well, they can barely hit you, they can’t run away. With a fair amount of damage on top. Sounds really nice.

Plague Form using Plague of Darkness, with Deathly Chill + Chilling Darkness. Gives lots of chill in Plague form.

You also have, Target the Weak + Chilling Nova + Barbed Precision, for fancy exploding critical hits on everyone inside your plague for even more conditions.

And Parasitic Contagion will heal you while you are in Plague Form doing all this.

Then you either add:
Chilling Force + Putrid Defenses + Cold Shoulder for a 25% damage reduction, blinding, and getting lots of might. Very fitting on Bruiser builds that start off a fight with Plague Form
or
Bitter Chill + Decimate Defenses + Death’s Embrace + Chill of Death + Siphoned Power + Close to Death for a bazillion extra damage to and crits on foes that are below 33% health. Which fits well with a high damage builds that use Plague form as a way to finish off foes after they built up a bunch of conditions and spread them with Epidemic.

Yep condi necro is going to be quite insane with chilling nova + all the aoes etc.

Why do so many ppl assume, that chill would work different from any other condition. There is no indication for that. It will scale of condi damage (as if that wasn’t clear from the get go) and it will tick per second, just as necros use Fear to deal damage.

Karl just confirmed in the other thread that it’s basically terror scaled down 25-33%

Hmm definitely didn’t think about this. Could indeed be interesting. I’ve been playing power for so long and it seems I’m slowly getting more & more annoyed at how it’s only really good at melee, definitely might look into condi/chill necro for the future…

I’m seriously interested in how many spooky-scary condi and hybrid builds come out of reaper.
