Spectral Walk: In open beta this ability could only grant life force when struck in DS. Then they reversed it and allowed life force gain when struck outside of DS only as well as manual activation of its teleport. Can you guys reconsider giving us the ability to gain life force in ds… and a slightly longer uptime?
Spectral grasp: Make this ability peirce, teleport and stun the target to you instead of dragging them to avoid terrain issue. Sometimes when the pathing isnt right this ability only knocks down enemy players. Maybe even teleporting whatever it pierced through and its original target. Also consider some damage or boon strip on this ability…. using it in wvw is fun until you’re caught in a small battle and all you can do is hope to drag an opponent to u which helps for interupts but a little more is needed.

@Walk, no. That was a big reason that DS bunkers existed.
Just make Grasp work every time it hits, and make it more reliable to land; give the opponent the obligation to force it to miss, not put it on me to magically land a weird pull.
The problem with allowing ‘gain life force on being hit’ abilities to last through Death Shroud is that each hit against you is effectively healing for around 1.8% of your maximum health (or more, depending on your investment in Soul Reaping), so any hit that does less damage than that would actually ‘heal’ the Necromancer. That may seem like a rather low bar, but consider the possibility of a vitality stacking necro with moderate toughness standing in a guardian symbol, or tanking a Locust Swarm, or fighting an engineer with a flamethrower.
The spectral buff should remain through death shroud, but not work, same as regeneration currently. This may be getting looked at though.

From what i remember almost no one ran spectral walk in tpvp back in beta
1.The tool tip never displayed that life force gain was possible i just happen to learn it by mistake. When lf gain on SW was announced everyone was excited at this new change yet no one mentioned it was possible prior to that update. Most ran undeath signet and spectral armor to bunker.
2. Spectral walk is most commonly used as a stun breaker to get away from opponents, alot of times we are forced to use its teleport soon after initial activation, before the ability ends due to chain stuns or large amounts of damage taken and we lose all real benefit from it except sacrificing health for life force. Therefore its usually best to use this ability at the begining of an encounter, i.e activating on sidlines foefire midfight or on higher ground i.e nifihel keep and running on point take damage to build life force then teleporting back to the sidelines where youre safe from most opponents instead of using it as a bunker mechanism(build life force on point and use its teleport feature with small distance gain)
Seeing as how the devs seem to want to bring DS tanks back by allowing better life force gain i think this would be perfect.

Just realized this would also solve the no life force at the beginning of battles problem most players seem to face.
Although teleporting players with grasp is a bit much, I think something should be done about about trying to grab your target and end up grabbing a clone or pet instead of the actual target. Ok so wait until the opportunity is right then grab them! The problem with this is the opportune moment almost never appears and we are stuck with an ability whos only use is to interrupt or peel an opponent off teammates. While this sounds usefull it is no where near as good as other classes pull abilities and is best to switch it out for a utility which will see more usefull play. Making it pierce allows it to move through the useless targets allowing it to reach your original target.
The reason i suggest teleports is because like i said before terrain really screws with this ability, ive once pulled someone on a slope only to have him launched in the air verticly in front of me while humurous i was unable to respond properly and its even worse when all they do is trip.
