Post patch condi runes
I am still using my scavanger runes and no plans to change yet …
Was hoping runes of the sunless might have been made useful, but no ..
Perhaps the old noble (now aristocracy) or nightmare runes might be ok.
I would say krait is the best option if your going to use Condi but not using terror. If you use terror I would stay with nightmare.

Nightmare is by far the best in sPvP. The current meta is essentially having the necro be a walking fear-battery. First person to hit you? Feared. CC’d you? AoE fear. Put up stability? Corrupted for fear. No stability? Feared.
If you are in WvW, perplexity is also an option.
There are other options, but generally nightmare/perplexity are going to be the biggest choices unless you just want to have a bit of fun with an off set like Krait to bomb people with bleeds.
Thought I’d take the old condi build out for a spin to check the new traits, which actually seem quite good when compared to what some of the other classes got. Haven’t had a chance to check out the updated versions of all the different runes but I saw undead and scavenging are worth almost nothing now, just wondering what’s the new “go to” rune that people are using.
Wow please no…. Scavenging is still a very good set, it wasn’t really changed much at all (maybe the when-hit effect got changed a little). It still gives the highest possible damage if that is something you are going for, and the very strong 1000 siphon after a heal.
Noble got buffed slightly and renamed, so it is obviously better than pre-patch (where it was in the top 4 already), nightmare got buffed, so it is better. Undead didn’t get changed, but it was fairly low on the list before the patch because it is outclassed by scavenging. Antitoxin runes are still okay if you are into the reduced duration and like corrupt boon.
Sunless and krait, are new much better runes, but they really require golem to provide much value.
Lich/Necro runes are still pretty bad choices, just like before, and get outclassed by nightmare in every way.
Perplexity is stupid good, and should get taken out (in my opinion), or other rune choices should be added that take advantage of the on-interrupt system. I have said it before, but I don’t think auto-attack should count as an interrupt, you should have to actually interrupt a cast skill, like a heal or a channel.
I had hoped that some of the really lame rune sets for Necro would be improved but they stayed lame.
For PvE I use Krait, For WvW I use Traveler because swapping locust in and out is BORING
Oh, and Nightmare for SPvP of course.
