Post your Reaper SPVP-Build
I came up with this for now.

Pretty obvious idea tho. Amulet is debateable, since i didnt play enough and cant say for sure its the best one for the build. Build has godly sustain, especially in big teamfights, when “Rise!” gets just insane. Also a very respectable dmg, but nothing crazy here.
I haven’t been playing too much yet.
But I’ve had a few builds in mind that I have to test.
One of the ones I would probably use for sPvP is a build that uses the old celestial signet necro as base and then adds some useful reaper stuff on top.
What you get is something like this:
Alternative: Swap YAAW! back out for something like Spectral Armor (higher LF generation and good defense) and drop Augury of Death trait for Relentless Pursuit.
Alternative: Instead of Celestial Amulet, take something like Marauder amulet. Reaper packs quite a punch, so you can drop some healing power and condi damage from transfers for some more personal damage.
Basically this provides most of the benefit you have with cele signet.
The changes are:
- Spectral Armor to YAAW! With this you keep the stun break; you gain some weakness back (which you lost from Weakening Shroud in the curses traitline), and some might right from the get go. Biggest downside is that the skill itself is pretty offensive, except for the stunbreak on it. So unless they come charging in with big CC, it might not be the best choice.
Rise! would be great if it had some kind of stunbreak attached.
- Plague for CttB! is a pretty solid change IMO. Both great offensive and defensive.
- Hydromancy sigil instead of Geomancy. Since chill gives you some solid benefits as reaper and you actually use sigils when you swap into shroud now. I never really liked the geomancy anyway.
Other build I’m eager to try is a condimancer/hybrid build that uses Dhuumfire. You can stack it fast and it deals high pressure. Also hard to cleanse or transfer due to their short duration.
That is what I’m running. Condi Reaper is amazing, and I have been able to win a lot of 1v2’s and even a 1v3 with this build. Its pretty easy to get upwards of~ 12 or so bleed, 15 poison, 7 torment, cripple, chill, and a few burns from Dhuumfire. As a whole, the build has great survivability, condi pressure, boon corrupt, decent mobility, and even decent life force generation thanks to traited staff, and Warhorn 5.
I decided to go for deathly chill instead of Reapers onslaught mostly because one extra stack of burn isn’t as good as having damaging chill (which fear also inflicts) both in and out of shroud.
I’d really recommend you take 4 different sigils across weapons. RS and DS now count as weapon swaps, so you can easily get 4 different sigils to proc by leaving shroud and swapping weapons. Also, dhummfire is better than DP with reaper pretty much always.
extra dodges, real stability, mobility skills,
burst skills, sustain, or good support. GG ANET.
Of course nobody actually going to use the greatsword in PvP.
S’a big foam noodle, and I’m super bitter about it.

I waited almost half a year for this moment, the moment when i can execute people with an oversized sword and they say its not for PvP? screw that, i dont care what i have to do i will make that weapon work.
Ive been running the same (well..similar) build for spvp and fractals. I dont have reaper unlocked in in pve yet, but when i do….
Sort of a lie. Ive been using the new Vipers pieces. The main reason being Decimate defenses. Chill dealing damage is…nice but probably not overly necessary.
Ive also been doing something just slightly different as well sometimes.

Dropping Reaper for Spite and taking signet mastery.
In either case, scepter/dagger scepter/warhorn for condi and a little extra damage from locust swarm. Corrosive poison cloud and plague provide fantastic utility. Torment and bleeding deal ample damage.
