Power necro and necro in general in WvW Help
Keeping staff/wells in a power build this is what I came up with. Instead of cleansing or transfering, it converts conditions into boons with an additional +45% boon duration.
If you take 2 wells in your build you might as well take 4 and trait it. Well of Power is too good of a utility skill to ignore in a Well build.
You doubled up on stacking sigils(bloodlust). You don’t need to do that, it does very little. Having 1 on either of your land sets and the other one on your underwater set is what you should be aiming for. I’d personally replace the one on the A/Wh set with a force sigil. This change will mean that you will only gain stacks while your staff is out but your ability to keep stacks is unaffected.
For your rune choice, I don’t think you are getting much value out of trooper runes. Try an offensive rune set. Pack is a good choice for that. If you got reliable fury access in your groups, you can drop some knight/captain pieces for cavalier.
Slot skills are fine, though I prefer Lich for the unblockable AoE boon strip and cleanse on its 5. Cooldown is significant though.
For your traits, swap Decimate Defenses over to Chilling Victory. You are massively overcritting in shroud and with fury, you got decent enough crit chance outside of shroud. DD is also the less reliable of the 2 traits and CV allows you to properly utilize Blighter’s Boon, which currently does very little for you.
Rest of your traits are good. Your statblock looks good as well, though you might want to add some toughness or vitality, should you choose to drop trooper for pack.
As with Justine’s build, you can use Blood over Spite. Both are good for this type of build. Though I’d use Vampiric Presence over Banshee’s Wail.
And a question to finish this part, what food are you using? If you are looking for added survivability, I recommend the 10% damage reduction foods. Especially curry mussel soup(-5% condition damage taken) and fried oyster sandwich(+70 power). Otherwise, any food with power in it will work.
Thank you, i had pack before and i was told to switch by my ex-commander after the initial nerf of them. As for Justine’s build im going to stick with my zerker armor, as it is always a good set and the gold cost to make them is too high for me to make another set. i was slowly switching my trinkets over to make up for what i was lacking in sustain. For food im using can of asparagus and sage salad(50% chance to gain swiftness when killing a foe, +4% damage while moving) as its cheap and i can use the wvw currency for it. I was thinking about trying out the shout build but dont know anyone who tried it.

I run celestial shouts with a focus on power and boon corruption. If deathly chill wasn’t so strong I would probably start converting some/more pieces to berserker and berserker/valk. Axe is monstrous for carving up ele and guards.
I definitely prefer to run vitality only as a defensive stat like Justine’s first build. I feel like death shroud gives you all of the extra toughness you need and vitality is much better defensive stat since it also works against conditions.
The funny thing is that I chose to switch from wells and Pack runes to shouts and Trooper runes. When I started playing necro I played in an organized group so I had plenty of stability and condition clears from my squad. When I started pugging I got annoyed when some pug commanders would create all necro groups. This is why I switched to Trooper runes. Trooper runes also makes the necro more survivable in outnumbered fights.
I ended up picking Curses since it gives me boon corruption without wells. It heavily boosts shroud skill 2. Chilling Darkness adds chill, Path of Corruption adds boon corruption, and Weakening Shroud adds weakness. I also like Furious Demise to provide my own Fury (pugging).
I stacked as much vitality as possible in my build. I even ran Sigil of Accuracy so I could swap more gear away from Berserker’s to Valkyrie. This gives me 27k health and 22k shroud health.
