What are your thoughts on power scourge?

With dagger already being the highest dps weapon necro has plus all the f skills doing damage based off power and the easy life force regen they have I actually enjoyed my power scourge a little more over the condition scourge.

What are your thoughts on a power scourge?

Maybe in pvp, will never be a thing in PvE.

I mean you can run Scourge how you like, nay sayers be kitten ed. But Scourge itself isn’t really designed with power in mind. I guess you could go a variation on the current power corrupt necro build if you really wanted.

Without seeing how the dev’s have adjusted Scourge since the open beta it is difficult to be sure of much more than Scourge looking like it will work as either mostly condition damage or a hybrid of power and condi. Too much of the dps appears dependent upon torment or torment/burning to allow a pure power build to be meta for dps. Even Reaper’s best dps is on a hybrid build and Reaper is predominately a power-based elite with only one trait selection enabling it to work as a hybrid. That may change on Sept. 22, though.

I do know Mender’s amulet Scourge was working pretty well in the first preview weekend.

Yeah, but we might still run dagger in PvE on condi (Scepter Dagger/Dagger Torch) instead of Scepter Torch/Staff (or even Scepter Dagger/Staff).
