So, assuming for a moment people are still willing to take necros into raids:

Have anybody run comparisons of condi versus power after nerf? I liked power more due to their inner elegance, but am stuck half-way transmuting my gear into viper. Last I’ve seen somebody bother, power was on pair with condi when rats were out of the picture.

Is it still the case? Or is one of builds superior now? Which one?

Go with condi still. Gives you the benefits of better condi management if needed (aka matthias) and epidemic for adds. Also having scepter and thus being ranged allows you to take roles such as green circle duty and ranging on Sabetha if your group wants you on there.

Haven’t compared numbers with perma alacrity but I’d very much assume that condi pulls ahead dps wise because of this too.

Sadly, power necros in instanced group content were dead on arrival and have never been revived.

I just switched to condi yesterday. It’s noticably better than power, but FSP zergs are still too powerful.

Well the good thing with Viper’s gear is that it gives you a lot of flexibility. I have full viper’s amor, amulet, ring, and accessory, and sinister ring and accessory. I have recently switched to power weapons and am actually having quite a bit of success. Is it viable in raids though? No. I tested it out on golem and I got around 9.5k dps with a good rotation. As far as power necro is concerned, that’s good damage, but as far as raid damage is concerned, it’s not viable.
