Looking for advice, I think the gearing is optimised (not sure though) and was looking for any input?

Effective Power 4158.19
Effective Health (EHP) 29451
Damage Reduction 34.36%
Toughness 1877
Critical Chance 36%
Critical Damage + 44%
Damage 20.75%

30/0/25/0/15 Staff / Axe+Focus

Consume Conditions / S. Walk / S. Wall / SoS -Power- / Flesh Golem (since it dies so fast I only call it when I need to snare or knock down some one)

With a quick glance, the only thing I would change is your berserker chest. Crit Damage doesn’t scale well with high stats pieces like chest and pant. I would replace it with a Knight or Soldier one depending on what you need,. you would get more for your money.

As I said last time: I find Centaur not that great for a 25 sec heal (love it on my mesmer though with her 15 sec heal) and would prefer 6x Lyssa or 6x Ruby orb.

80’s: Razdhül Necro/Desire Mesmer/ Ykarys War/ Yphrit Ele/
Panhauramix Guardian/Pistoleros Engineer/ Orbite Thief
Gates of Madness – Leader of Homicide Volontaire [HV]

Looks really good.
The only thing that comes to mind: Unless you want the extra swiftness I’d go with Mad King runes instead of Centaur. Or rune of the Ogre, Strength or Pack.
Rune of Lyssa is also a good Flesh Golem combo.

I’m of the opinion you shouldn’t trait really heavily into two weapons like that. If staff is just a back-up weapon, you don’t need Staff Mastery since you’re going to throw 4 marks and a few floaty hands before you switch to Axe again, so the recharge reduction isn’t as relevant. Try taking 15 points out of Death Magic, then putting them into Curses for Fury on DS so you can make the most out of your bonus crit damage.

If Axe is your back-up weapon, you should take Close to Death instead of Axe Training since you’ll get at least as much use out of it boosting your staff damage on low-health targets.

I don’t have much advice regarding Spiteful Talisman because the choices for your adept major trait in Spite are pretty limited. They’re all a gimmick, and you can make use of most of them, but I don’t think they’d fit your build direction.

tl;dr – Pick one of your weapon sets and bias your traits towards it, rather than trying to split them evenly between the two.

Mixing insults with your post is like pooping in a salad.
It’s pretty obvious, and nobody’s impressed.

Had my eyes popping out a bit. However there seems to be something wrong with this when I was fiddling with it. On that spreadsheet “axe training” gives a massive increase to effective power when you add it that isnt reflected in the damage you actually get.

I dont know, it may be appropriate however it doesnt sit right with me as far as comparing to other specs.

You’re right I look at it again and the calculator seems to increase power by 20% with the axe trait.

From my experience Staff is a rather bad main weapon outside of tagging targets for loot in Orr or in WvW.
The autoattack doesn’t deal much damage and most of the Marks have rather long cooldowns even with the cooldown reduction trait.

Mark of Blood is the shortest cooldown Mark by far at only 6 second recharge (before counting the trait) and it’s much better with Condition Damage.
As such I think that a build focused around the Staff would be better off with a Carrion or Rampager Hybrid build if you want to also have Power.

Or maybe even with healing power to apply Regen on Minions?
I’ve never tried that to be honest.

I only use a Staff in my power build for the range and utility but it’s definitely a secondary weapon for me.
With all that said I could see your Putrid Mark hitting rather hard.

I’m rather tired and it’s possible that I’m overlooking something and underrating your build… but on a glance it honestly looks rather non-optimal to me.

Also from my experience Signet of Spite is just bad.
I might be wrong now that it got buffed. Haven’t tested it’s passive much.
It doesn’t look very impressive to me though.
