I’m running a condi build off of the cheapest things I could find (rabid off of karma venders) using scepter/focus and staff for PvE in the HoT areas. I was wondering if anyone knows what the optimal rotation between skill and utilities are to inflict maximum damage? I just mess around with whatever is off of cool down no thought really goes into it I’m going to try to improve my gameplay mechanics. Hence this thread, step 1!

There are a couple different builds floating around right now.

The first is a burn build that focuses on generating life force, staying in reaper shroud and AA’ing to apply burn using the soul reaping grand master trait dhummfire. The basic rotation of this build is SPAM RS 1!!!!

The second build is a more traditional condition build. It uses spite/SR/Curses or spite/Curses/Reaper or curses/SR/reaper to apply bleed, poison, torment, and chill via scepter. There are a number of variations, but using BiP, CPC, and all your scepter skills on CD is pretty much all there is to it.

I’ve been trying to optimize my rotation, but it is hard to time and it is getting more complicated. I think I was getting close until I unlocked adrenal mushrooms and realized they were present at almost all boss fights. Now I have to start over and take those into account. The general idea is to use RS4 while standing in CPC, swap to staff to quickly stack chill, use RS AA until weapon swap is ready then back to scepter/dagger to inflict more bleed poison and torment.

Necromancer does not have rotations that provide large dps increases

Generally, start by popping off staff skills as quickly as you can, switch to scepter, and stay there as much as possible.

Scepter is tricky in that you restore your LF with Feast of Corruption, not the auto-attack. However, scepter AA does most of your dps.

Once you switch to scepter, make sure you have your target with an auto-attack then use focus 4 for vulnerability and regeneration before going back to auto-attack. Cripple with scepter 2 if you need to kite. Chill with focus 5 after your target uses a bigger skill.

Use focus 4 whenever you can. It hits hard and constitutes a lot of the remaining damage aside from scepter AA and DS. Use scepter 3 and staff for LF.

Scepter condition damage builds are slow to build LF so consider utilities to help that or minions to take aggro.

Oo condi reaper shroud is a thing?! Man I gotta give that a try I thought shroud was generally a power build, though I can definitely see it now with dhummfire maybe rabid or sinister gear with superior rune of Balthazar… Oh man that’s giving me ideas!

problem with that is as anchoku said I generally stay in scepter so I don’t really build life force quickly once my RS is done it takes forever to build up again even going into the shroud trait line…
