Putrid's Mark Blast Finish
I’m fairly certain myself that the “first” finisher you see when dropping the mark initially doesn’t count. Try using spectral wall and dropping it there, and see if you get chaos armor. It never worked for me unless I had a nearby enemy to blow up the mark.

I never really tested it but I fairly sure its bugged. I have seen it give the AoE boon name when placing the mark but I don’t think it ever gave the boon. I just assumed it was a bug.

Just tried it with spectral wall get the chaos armor finisher indication but I don’t actually get chaos armor.

It may not explain what you guys are seeing, but none of Putrid Mark’s blast finishers activate until the mark activates. Just something to try / keep in mind.
Mixing insults with your post is like pooping in a salad.

No I just did it standing in lion’s arch got the indicator but no chaos armor. Ill test it later on a actual mob.

Putrid Mark has 2 finishers, placement and activation. The combo from placing the mark is always delayed until the mark is actually triggered (which is why you get a double combo every time), but sometimes the indicator icon shows up too early… don’t know why, seems to be random.
