We won anyways, Holl, so dw. It was pretty fun. Xerrex should post his videos here to answer all the scrubs crying about necros being rubbish atm and unplayable.

In all honesty though, the flaw of a Necromancer in teamfights is kind of nullified whenever there are multiple running about :P

The only real issue we truly had was mobility, and mostly on Foefire – and even that I think we can tackle with some better coordination and builds

I would love to see the Vids guys,

It sounds like it was a good time. Perhaps a thread start here soon ish concerning the effect of “our” teams. Listing some builds, tactics, etc for us to all share and see about rocking the boat for a bit.

^Nope, Five Average Guys’ mesmer (sorry I forgot his name) beautifully agreed to honour our dc, and play 4v4. Very noble of them.

What builds was everyone using?

Just standard builds.

I ran my personal odditiy

A not so standard Condi build, though ever since I tasted Foot in the Grave, I could not let it go… So now I got a build that dishes out less damage than the conventional Terror build, but in turn has more Lifeforce uptime, Stability on demand (which is golden, since you can safestomp/res) and at least some speed to it…
Also, since I got Travelers, there was no need for Spectral Walk, or Warhorn to keep up… Giving me the option to slot something else

Worked funnily well enough when stomping, ressing and surviving on the point :P

So as promised heres the footage.
U might need to skip parts between queues.

At start we run MM as holder 1 power hybrid 2 cndi.
Later we had 3 cndi necroes.
At the very end we run 5 pwoer necros with wells (seemed to be the most effective and the most fun)

I think 4 power, 1 condi at then end (Proto still on condi), but yeah that was the most fun.

This is just a suggestion, but it seems like the Necro community, which is capable of forming its own all-necro team, might like this. Just take a look at the mesmer and ranger forum-guilds[located in their forums] and see if its something one of you might want to start up.

That’s exactly what But of Corpse is :P it was started by Bas and I, and it pretty much organized all its events through the forums and that’s how we got players. The only issue is that Bas and I both are a bit too busy to organize events. But But of Corpse does exist to do what you suggest, we just don’t have anyone really organizing it.

On that note, mail me on the forums/in game if you want to join. I’ll add people who posted here as well when I get a chance.

I have a power necro and a condi necro, I can play either depending on enemy comp.

By the way, I can play for about an hour, but then I would need to go, so we may need more than 5 people in case anyone thinks the team is full already or something.

I will play whatever build no one else will but I’m best on my spectral zerker build or one that is similiar to noscocs, and If you all really lucky I’ll show you my super signet necro!

I’m up for a couple of games – I usually run spectral zerker or tanky, but I can do condi and I’ve been wanting to try a staff build for the lulz.

Hey all last minute change of plans, won’t be able to make it. I couldn’t play long anyway. Sorry guys!

Rawr, welp. I’ll be on at like 8 so anyone that feels like playing some games just hit me up.

I’ve only read the first post and I haven’t bothered reading the ones after that. Though I’ll tell you this my fellow Corpse; you are not the only one who have thought of this I was bored some time ago,I had 3 necros in my TeamQ. I said to myself this is never going to work,never,that this would be a guaranteed loss. I proved myself wrong,we won. So I thought,okay,3 necros was awesome,how about 5? 5 players with that extra HP pool. 5 players with the fear condition. 5 players with boon removals and awesome conditions.

Success.

Our team wasn’t just thrown together though,it wasn’t some casual pick up necros,this was people I knew,who had played necro before,who was kind of experienced with the class in pvp. I was the tank (yes,you read that right,it’s insane how tanky a necromancer actually can be), we had 1 MM,1 condition (not with your kitten full of fears though,just conditions) and 2 power necros with our ultimate damaging tool,the kittening Lich. We won 8 out of 10 matches in a row.

5 necros isn’t as stupid as it sounds as long you know the person can play the class,you have TS or something else to communicate with (it is possible doing this without ts but considering you’re 5 necros it can be a bit tough) and we knew each other.
I run 5 man necro teams whenever I want to mess a little bit with my enemy team xD
Every team we came across had something to say about our Walking Dead team,some were surprised,some laughed and there’s always these people that can’t do anything creative besides META who said we’d lose this match.

We proved them wrong.

Running 5 corpses can certainly be viable,and it certainly is fun

I’m trying to pull together people who shares my idea like you guys,and therefore I’ve created “Penta Nec (DOOM)”. The thought is that it’ll just be a guild where you can meet up with fellow necros,talk about the class,share stuff you’d like others to know,and of course,have a reliable pool of people you can pick from who actually wants to go full on necromantic fury on the enemie’s kittens. Because let me tell you,there’s not alot of us!
This is by no means a full on rep guild or a serious guild for that matter (we have ofc. a fitting necromancer emblem) it’s just as I said,something to pick from,share thoughts and opinions! If you’re interested,send me a mail in game and I’ll invite you to our undying horde.

I was able to make it afterall (crisis averted). First game was myself, NeXeD, Narkodx, Minas and Zombify – we kept it close but ended up losing. The other team had 1 or 2 diamond skin eles and used them well. They were on to our shenanigans. Zombify had to go and we picked up a pug necro, and we ended up winning the next match pretty handily, but they also seemed aware that we were slow and had sent a lot of people far, which worked for them at first.

Pretty funny starting a match with 80% life force and running to mid in a locust swarm that would’ve made the Bible, though. It was pretty fun but I do think the 5 necros made it obvious that we would be asking for certain strategies used against us.

I would do it again for sure.

Yep, very fun I would do it again for sure!

Rotating is hard with 5 Necros but our team fights at mid were mostly a blow out – massive AoE pressure/condis/lich

High mobility teams and diamond skin eles are probably hard counters to the 5 man necro teams but I think we can work around that with possible adding an MM to guard home point
