Guild Wars 2

Anyone use this on their Necro? Has the cloak ability been useful or not? How long does it last? I haven’t been able to find any information on it.

I was looking into them the other day… the cloak seems to activate so close to me dying (at least in Spvp) that the incidental AOE kills me anyhow.

Similiar to the problem the thief stealth at 25% skill has.

From what I can find, it seems to last 3 or so seconds which I would imagine isn’t very useful on a class like the necromancer. It also seems to proc when you are hit with only 10% health left which is more dangerous on a necromancer than on most other classes (since you have little damage mitigation to avoid the big guns). Although I could see it being slightly useful if you are attempting to reposition for another attack rather than attempting to flee.

Used it in WvW a few times while testing it out. It has saved me once in a while, but it does activate too close to death that if you’re caught in an AoE you’re likely gonna die anyway. If you’re looking for a low HP saving effect for a rune, I’d suggest Vampirism’s mist form.

For a funny time, go to Spvp and try out the Superior runes of the Grove. I found those are quite hilarious against other condition users, because it is like a freebie ranger ultimate on one target. To bad the bonus of those runes otherwise are awful and the CD is so long on the 6 rune bonus.
