I’ve been playing Necromancer for a long time but I’ve also been playing roughly the same build for a very long time. I’ve experimented here and there but in no way would I claim I know everything I should know about the profession.
Recently I’ve been enjoying a Blood Magic build and there is a trait that I’ve never bothered to use and am uncertain about.
Life From Death states that it heals and partially revives allies when you exit Shroud. Does the heal only effect your allies or does the heal effect you too?
I’m a bit embarrassed to have to ask this question but there isn’t any info on the wiki.
It also heals you.
Actually when i think about it, wasnt this trait specially changed from" when you enter shroud" to “when you leave shroud” only so that it heals you? I recall that was a complaint during the traits rework, so they changed it.
LfD heals 5 in an area on exiting shroud. It is especially useful in a power-MM build where Putrid Explosion is not used and the player opts, instead, to keep minions alive through LfD and Transfusion. Death Magic, Blood Magic, and Soul Reaping is a sort of power bunker build where your minions tank for you and you heal them with shroud. Cleric’s is good. PvE only.
It scales quite well with healing power, too, at 150%.
For reference, Consume Conditions is 100% plus 10% per condition. Most Healing skills hover around 100%.

You know, I might invest in some cleric gear just to play that vanilla necro build again. Fond memories, there
try it with foot in the grave and tempest runes!
