when you corrupt retal how many stacks of confusion should it give? 3 stacks right?

I ask because Im going through some footage of a gvg we had yesterday and my confusion ticks where in the 200’s when they should be in the 600’s
so only 1 confusion stack was being applied.

Bug or ninja nerf?

retal = 3 stacks of confusion.

Hypothesis one: You run epidemic, an ally Mesmer landed an incomplete shatter or scepter skill generating only one confusion, you epidemic only one confusion.

Hypothesis 2: You get hit with the same as above and transfer only one confusion with staff 4 or dagger 4.

Hypothesis 3: But most likely you fired your staff through an ethereal field and caused one confusion.

Edit: or you got chaos armor and gave out one confusion that way. Didn’t watch your video, speculating is more fun.

Edit 2: Only causes one confusion converting retaliation with WOC… not sure if its new or not.

I added a round 8 of out 10 round match. you can see all the confusion flying around but only 1 stack or 2xx damage.

No none of the above speculation happened. I places a well and based on the damage I see I only applied 1 stack of confusion.

im looking at some of my duels and Corrupt boon is working fine and applying 3 stacks but only WoC is applying 1.

Strange…. I don’t use WOC in many situations where I would notice either way…. I will check tomorrow evening if I remember in pvp

The sad thing is, if this turns out to be a big with WoC it will be months before Sent acknowledges it and then four or five months after that before it’s seen in patch notes.

I aplogize, I was wrong…. I will have to look at it a little closer to see what is doing it, but my WOC with the ranged trait was only doing one confusion stack as well…. I will check into it.

I was in another GvG and yup it will only give 1 stack of confusion.
I do use the ranged trait, I will need to test without.

Guys… maybe a bug, they said way way ago i think that they are toning down the impact of aoe condis… im pretty sure that this has been in for quite a while.

Possibly, but I think the sad state of affairs is that this conversion now deals 1/6th the damage it once did long ago. Poor confusion… RIP punishing people who spam skills (from an admitted skill spammer)

On another note, this makes this particular well very lack luster. Retaliation is possibly the most common boon, and only 1 confusion per conversion is weak sauce.

In large group engagements, it is already kitten near impossible to strip down to a boon anyone cares about, and now losing retaliation is basically a non-factor. Not that 3 confusion was devestating, but it was 3 times stronger than 1 stacks.

before the confusion nerf my 3 stacks would tick for up to 1.2k
now since its only 1 stack and the damage was cut in half, I only see 200’s

they should fix this or at least give us an up to date boon corruption table

Im pretty sure that CB still gives 3 confusion… its just that aoes got nerfed (dont quote me on that tho, so much kitten changes behind the scenes and im too lazy to check each patch… or even each month).

if you look at around 14-16s you see that I corrupt retal but only 1 stack was applied.

skip to around 49s I used corrupt boon in this duel and it did corrupt retal into 3 stacks of confusion.
