you stack much more vulnerability quicker with Reaper Shroud
that’s the additional benefit
it’s fine as is
sure, it’d be nice if it went from 3-5 targets with the trait, but it’s still fine

why is that a problem?

DS got the piercing and vulnerability stacking.
RS got the way faster vulnerability stacking.

that looks fair to me. not saying that life blast shouldnt have some piercing by default (or “on default”? i never know), but this shouldnt be the argument for changing that.

Since there are other traits for shroud 1 (dhuumfire) I think the only way to balance would be to have the same attack speed for RS and DS, in which case, baseline piercing would make sense too.

if they slow down RS 1 to match DS 1, i’ll punch your neck
RS is what currently makes it worth taking reaper spec….kill the speed of RS1, kill the spec. they’d have to change the GM speed trait to +50%….which might be interesting…but then i have to give up blighters boon

The faster attacks of RS#1 and the vuln stacking of the Unyielding Blast trait are great. You can stack a ton of vuln, especially if you add in some of the traits from the Spite line. However, the trait description says it adds pierce, which is incorrect. It only adds pierce on Death Shroud, not Reaper Shroud. This is obvious as RS has cleave instead, but I want to bring it to the attention of any Dev reading this. The pierce should be baseline for DS#1 as otherwise this trait behaves differently between RS and DS.

It could very well be adding pierce to any projectiles fired when casting RS1, it’s just that there’s no projectiles there. Basically, RS1 has the pierce included baseline because it’s melee.

I obviously was asking for DS attack speed to be increased not the opposite. But you’re right, I should have been more explicit

totally agree, then. puts DS and RS in line, and makes the choice more difficult and reliant on preference/ situational effectiveness.
