A thief killed me 5 min ago in WvW with fear, yes fear. He killed me in those 3 seconds that the stolen fear lasts. You know a fear that is longer and easier to handle than every fear I have as a necromancer. Its really humiliating in some way. I read somewhere that anet said that necromancers are the kings of fear like for example mesmers are the kings of confusion. Its like a bully beating the crap out of you and screaming “dont hit yourself”. Its a freaking joke.

Have you tried using Death Shroud properly?

Its already a running gag on my server, I guess in the whole community. Warrior dies to some other class in WvW. Posts in chat “wtf A killed me in 2 sec…” 3 or more people reply “did you use death shroud properly?”

I suspect it will remain a necro community gag even if we are buffed substantially. It’s very catchy.

You have access to a five-second AoE fear with a 1200 radius, and the cooldown on it is only ten seconds! You just need to make use of your Death Shroud like a pro.

Oh so they steal our fear and it lasts longer than every one of the ones we can cast put together. In the real world this means if I stole a plain old steel spoon it would become a spoon of pure gold…

Yep soon as we get the ability to conjure up a water bubble just to use that one skill in our death shroud on land we will be golden, cause underwater death shroud fear > on land death shroud fear.

Thats what JP means by use DS right. He means we are doing it wrong, because we aren’t underwater.

I wish doom is at least AOE =x=

Maybe if I learned to use the death shroud property, it will auto upgrade to an aoe skill =D

like I said, if your not summoning a bubble to be underwater and use that death shroud fear traited to last 50% longer (ergo a 3 sec frontal cone aoe fear) your completely using ds wrong.
