While Chill is the main theme for Reaper but in reality GS and RS don’t really apply Chill or apply it in such a reliable way. If you want Chill you will have to build for it and if you build for it you will have to sacrifice many thing to get it.
Greatsword:
AA: this thing is useless in PvP. If you spend your time to get to the third chain only to never get it land. I think you are wasting your time with AA.
Gravedigger: sound good on paper but terrible in practice. This skill takes forever to execute and if you get slow while using it, it is literally an AFK. My suggestion would be, 1sec cast time and 1sec super speed while casting would be an interesting idea to try.
Death Spiral: an 10sec CD and 3/4sec cast time would help the LF starving and the landing of the skill.
Nightfall the only GS skill that works both on paper and in practice.
Grasping Darkness this skill simply fail in both practice and function. The range is too short and if you get too close it will fail 99% of the times. I would suggest an 25sec CD and buff the range to 900 from 600 and increase the speed of the returning projectile.
Reaper Shroud:
AA: good enough.
Death’s Charge: as many has said, this skill isn’t working as intended purpose. Reaper Shroud won’t work if Death’s Charge isn’t working properly because you are a melee character with barely 5 melee skills to use. I seriously think this skill need arrow aiming and evade frame of 3/4sec or so. Or best of all makes it charges to the target like a leap skill.
Infusing Terror this one is good but why “Terrify” reset your Infusing Terror CD back to the base 20sec? IMO Terrify should not have its own CD.
Soul Spiral a nice DPS skill. I think “Transfusion” trait should reduce the CD of Shroud#4 by 20%.
Executioner’s Scythe: I think it would be better if you reduce the stun duration from 1½s to ½s, and cast time to 1/4sec instead. First of all, with this change it will Reaper has an on-demand CC to make up the lost of Doom. Secondly, spending 1½s in Shroud casting a spell is a terrible idea. Doing so cause us LF to drain away. On the other hand, we have only 5 skills to use and mostly melee skills.
Also, “Soul Eater” Recharge reduction doesn’t seem to work or maybe the concept of the function itself is lackluster and Gravedigger also contributes to this.
P.S. Killing Golem with Reaper is amazing but trying to hit players is a nightmare.
