Reaper’s Touch seems a little bit buggy with the bounces. Not only does the Necromancer have to be very close for the all 4 bounces to go off but more than half the time it does not crit.

I’ve seen it bounce all four times and do really good damage. I would like for this to be stable. I think it has a lot of do with camera positioning. I am playing a short Asura. As such I position my screen lower to aim shots.

Just wondering if this could be fix and or buffed and/or if anyone is experiencing these problems with reapers touch off of the Focus.

The bounce range is 600, always hitting the closest target. If there’s no target to bounce to then it stops.
As for the crit, it has the same chance as any other skill depending on your own Precision.

Focus #4 -Reapers touch- probems are that it is not a copy mesmer GS #2.

-semi long cast +huge unneeded aftercast for a melee burst skill
-UNRELIABLE ON A GAME ENGINE LEVEL
it is NOT homing, wiki is wrong
it is a HOVERING PROJECTILE, meaning it get all negative effects of projectile despite not listed + it get random obstructed by pebbles AND it CANNOT FLY OVER STAIRS TERRAIN.
-you need all bounces for mediocre value
-the boon is pretty useless
-1200 vs 600 bounce range

The mesmer mirror blade is a great example of a “pretty much unavoidable skill”.
By that i mean you cannot cheese a sidestep to make it miss, the skill WILL HIT WHEN IT SHOULD and even the spawned clone allows constant value bounces.

The only thing good about it is, it has a cool added scyhe animation like our staff1.

As for what youre asking, the thing works normaly and correctly.

Each hit will have own chance to crit.
If you go into shroud with crit trait, you can always make all hits 100% crit. Its also only way to speed up break the aftercast

I agree with this.
This skill needs some love. I have no idea why it can’t work the same way as mesmer mirror blade.

This skill needs some love. I have no idea why it can’t work the same way as mesmer mirror blade.

Agreed. Core skills need revision after HoT power creep and previous profession adjustments. For as long as it takes to cast and finish this skill, I expect it to either be more potent or more reliable. Every time I use it, I think my toon should let out a grunt for the effort.
