I’m a warrior/mesmer main, necro has always been a class I’ve just played on the side sometimes. I typically hear how overpowered they are in the same lines of things like “They too strong just like druid, dragonhunter, etc.”

My experience playing both as and against them, has been surprisingly in the middle. Don’t get me wrong, they can do some super annoying stuff (IM LOOKING AT YOU CHILL) but I’ve never felt like the fight was hopeless and a lot of my deaths were either me making a wrong move or the enemy simply outplaying me.

I play a lot of berserker, I kill a lot of reapers on my berserker, if I can do that then anything is possible amirite?

Yeah, ANet did make 2 balanced elite specs: Reaper and Chronomancer. (Is zerker balanced now, or does it need more buffs?)

Not surprisingly, both of these specs are the ones most similar (in strengths and weaknesses) to their base profession. Reaper or not, I still always focus the necro first.

Considering that Robert Gee was the one in charge of Reaper and Chrono, it makes sense. He has balanced both classes pretty well.

I think he made Berserker underwhelming just to play a prank on Hugh.

Alright meow, where were we?
